When you ride a horse off a cliff. It takes damage depending on both the height of the fall & how much Stamina the horse has. They take Zero fall damage if you're not riding them. The more stamina it has when it falls, the less damage it will take, the fall damage eats into the stamina bar first, then the health bar. That's why sometimes they survive & sometimes they don't. Full stamina when falling means higher chance of survival, but either way, falling off a cliff going to end the horse. Also, if you leave a Horse or Thrall on the map you CAN recall them to the base by the Followers menu. Note if you use this they drop their inventory. Side note, YOU can also die from falling while riding the horse, if you ride it off a high enough cliff, the fall damage will eat through the horse, then you.

Think it's due to the animation of getting off the horse in Conan, whereas in Ark you kind of just jump off. Though in Conan you also get off to the side so you can't land on your mount like you do in Ark, definitely remember that lol. Generally, whenever I get to a cliff I'll just get off the horse & climb down then remount. Or not stop in time & pray my horse doesn't die lmao

a car hitting you at 35mph only has a 1/3rd mortality rate? That's way higher than what I would've thought. But anyway this is more like a truck hitting you at that speed (a wall), where your entire body *will* take the damage...there's no impact-absorbing plastic fender specifically designed to lessen the lethality, or the possibility of dispersing some of the impact energy by rolling over the hood. The only way I can imagine surviving that impact is landing perfectly feet first, having instant treatment ready and still tremendous luck to not die anyway...I imagine at that point you'd rather wish have not survived.
Man either my horses on my Xbox server are sturdy or these guys are constantly running their horses with low stamina, and that is how they die. Then again I also leveled my horse up quick so it's health pool is pretty high.

@@ComancheWarrior63 i had horses for 8 years, most horses wont stand still or sit down and rest , they are very jittery and will keep trying to get up and cause more damage to themselves, and even if it heals they probably will never be able to be used for much after, so thats why the only people who would do that is either rich people with a very expensive horse or someone who loves that horse a lot, but most people would suggest that the suffering the horse could go thru its best to put them down

I think Conan is one of my all time favorite series from the crew (up there with the Long Dark). They’re the ones that inspired me and my friends to play it, and over the years of off and on play, I've amassed over 500 hours in it. Yikes...
You got to consider that horses have the square cubed law against them. While they're durable enough to soak up metal swords stuffed into their sides, a 10m drop on the same side is going to make them functionally worthless as mounts. It wouldn't actually kill them, but any horse doctor would, under those circumstances, mercy kill them.
Lol Anthony found the Bridge of Death, and did exactly the wrong thing to survive. The Bridge is the coldest place on the map...it's no joke. You need to be prepared when you use it.

I love how all the 30-40 foot falls became 6 feet (which is still a high enough fall to kill a horse, at the very least it would break at least one of it's legs in a way that would effectively render it dead anyway), and the way the guys blame their own idiocy on the "game AI".
Little bit of gravity: instant death. Multiple stabs to the organs: tis but a scratch. One stab to Anthony's Face: dead. Conan Logic making tons of sense.
Easiest way to get star metal is to attack the norse camp in the barial mounds area, they often drop star metal weapons that when scrapped gets you more star metal than hunting for it in the wild....
This is just not true. Neebs got >400 ore from one node, which makes >200 bars. You're not getting that much from scrapped weapons that sometimes drop.

Level your horses up with bark. They'll gain health and won't die off cliffs. One of my horses leveled up to 27K health. The one I'm running around on now has 20K health. I fall off high cliffs all the time, and they barely take damage.

No, you need to harvest the humanoid rock monster. It gives you blood stone, or blood crystal (I can't remember what it's called, but it's a red rock). Regardless, it lets you build Golems.
a nice little trick for climbing: if you build armor flexibility mods and attach them to your pieces, it will dramatically improve your stamina usage. There are different tiers of this mod, mind you. i carry a light set just for climbing and you can easily scale mountains without so much as a sweat.
It's somewhat humorous that Wak disappears for one episode after joining and every single possible wheel falls of the wagon. Or in this case, every horse falls of a cliff.
Should add a Mule mount. They'd always stop before goin down a cliff, same w donkeys. That's why they're so 'stubborn'. They're extremely careful w their footing in a way horses aren't. Tho even a horse wouldn't just go off a cliff unless it was being...chased or something...and scared and panicked....
