Awesome news can’t wait for your episode of Idiots with pipes! I’ve been watching them since the beginning of their channel… they are very entertaining! I just purchased a Bing’s favorite from your shop the other day….. love it! Thanks Thanks for sharing.
What a pleasant surprise it was this morning to see a new video from you. Glad you're back for a visit - makes for a good morning with coffee, my pipe and Eddie at the manor. 🤠
I'm the same way with briar fox. Every time I smoke it I think I should smoke it more. If you push it, especially outside when it's very cold, the blend flattens out and tastes like a cigarette. If you take your time it is a very nice blend.
Hi Eddie ! Glad to see you , I’ve been looking for the MM William pipe for a long time and man was I happy to see the email that you had them so I had to order one !
Hey Eddie! I havent tried Briar Fox yet, but I do have a couple of tins aging in the "cellar" to try soon. Ill be sure to check out your guest appearance
Nice to see you back! Off-topic - Have you ever gotten Covid and it messed up your taste and smell? If so, what did you do to help restore? Anything? Bummed that I'm only 5-6 months into pipe smoking, have really enjoyed the journey of figuring out what blends I like, BUT now I've been hit with Covid AGAIN, and my taste & smell are shot...
I've only had it once, and it thankfully didn't take away my sense of taste. Sorry to hear it! One of my daughters had that issue, but her sense of taste came back over time. Took several weeks, though.
H Book shop never did it for me, too dry and cigarette like for me. Some tobacco’s I dislike at first, then after a year or two I enjoy them - Orlik Golden Sliced was one. Didn’t care for it at first, had it in a jar for 2 years tried it yesterday and loved it. Who knows why …. We change.
It's hard to find a pipe I would recommend under $50 these days that isn't a cob or a clay. So maybe a clay? But they are kind of a niche in the pipe world, and not something I'd recommend for a first pipe. For an inexpensive briar, I'd recommend the Rossi Mezzanotte series that I carry (whichever shape you prefer) as a first pipe, and they are $58.
eh, haunted bookshop tastes terrible fresh out of the tin. too much vinegar note. it really comes into it's own after it has been decanted into jars and allowed to oxidize and age for a bit before smoking. it looses the vinegar top note, and mellows out into a nice sweet smoke with the additional spice kick note of perique. like i said, for a new pipe smoker who may be interested in this blend, your first smoke straight out of the tin is probably going to be unplesant. jar it and age it first. the reward is worth it.
I enjoy HB right out of a fresh tin, don't know what that says about me, LOL! But I do agree that most Virginia based blends do mellow and the flavors marry better if given time. HB doesn't have enough Virginia, I don't think, for it to be as noticeable to me as with other blends. There's a good bit of Burley in there, which to me doesn't benefit from age as much as Virginias do. But as with most things in the pipe world, it's all about personal experience and what works best for you, the individual. Thanks for watching!

Good seeing you Eddie! I have my eyes on one of the MM pipes from the email. I will Stay well and Up the Irons 🔥
I love briar fox. I think it was the first blend I could smoke without a filter and not get tongue bite.

Hehe...
Hey, cigar smoker here.... Looking into pipes. If you could recommend one pipe under $50 that isn't a cob pipe ... what one would you recommend?

I’m saving my shekels for a new pipe, be in touch.
Hey Eddie, is that a YoYo Factory Shutter T-Shirt?
No, it's a T-shirt about Aperture Science, which is a video game reference for a game called Portal.
Too much Nic for me... I'm a wuss. LOL
Pegasus is fairly similar, and lighter.
