      It's essential to try and use scrap material as well, both for cost reasons and because otherwise, it would risk going to waste and that would be a shame!

      Thank you for your trust. My wife is my guiding light, especially now that we're low on charged batteries due to the lack of sun; she always manages to give me the strength to keep going!

    *_Ciao... mi piace la foresta che sembra naturale e sostenibile, c'è anche un piccolo fiume con acqua limpida, sicuramente sicura da bere, e anche se questa baita è abbandonata, vedo che è ancora adatta alla vita ed è ancora robusta , Mi piace il tuo video... I think the plastic sheting looks like a fantastic short term solution until the roof is done next year....Im just looking at those huge tiles on your roof. Are they stone slabs, they look huge???? How does a roof like that even get repaired...ayyyyyyy - you are so brave, I would just be completely overwhelmed :)

    • @mywildlifeitalia
      @mywildlifeitalia  10 месяцев назад

      Hello! Yes, they are stone slabs, the largest ones are placed towards the lower part of the roof, and they will need to be completely removed. The structure is simple, stones resting on the beams, so they will need to be taken off in order to work on the underlying beams. It will definitely be a challenge! 🙏💪😅

    Better to go through the trouble of doing it rather than trying to deal with the damages caused by not.👍❤

    Alex .....you should consider a wood stove ... as the fireplace is nice to look at and is very romantic .....but it really provides very little heat

      Hello Alan, yes you're right! We're looking for an old stove to restore in some antiques fair 💪

    • @alanvanreed6878
      @alanvanreed6878 10 месяцев назад +1

      Alex ... I hope my suggestions do not offend you ...... but here goes .......when you get to repairing the roof ... I suggest that you use plenty of insulation ..... I know that like me you also have referenced Martijn Doolaard. I believe that he did not put near enough insulation in his roof......I remain somewhat skeptical about the ability to heat a stone house like yours and Martijn's ..... however I hope for the best and send my best hopes for your success .

    • @mywildlifeitalia
      @mywildlifeitalia  10 месяцев назад

      No offense at all, Alan, don't worry! It's right and good to have discussions.
      Honestly, I'm not referring to Martin; I don't agree with some of his choices, and I think he made a big mistake with the roof. He positioned the only layer of insulation poorly, vertically instead of horizontally. It could lead to leaks.
      However, you are absolutely right about the stove. Along with my wife, we were looking for a very small one, even though my plan is to use a somewhat strange, perhaps, but hopefully effective idea of mine. If you feel like it, watch the upcoming videos; I think I'll be developing it soon.

    Scusami se mi intrometto, ma secondo me il telo renderà il locale pieno di umidità e condensa. Scusami, ma mi dispiacerebbe molto se ciò accadesse. Un saluto😮😮

    • @mywildlifeitalia
      @mywildlifeitalia  10 месяцев назад +1

      Ciao Marco, ma figurati, nessuna intromissione. Allora, l'eventualità c'è, ma è anche vero che il locale è ancora ampiamente ventilato da altre intercapedini che ci sono e che lascerò per far circolare l'aria. Questo dovrebbe attenuare la condensa ....o almeno spero 😅🙏

    More copycats. everybody chasing RUclips money. Most don't actually live on the property, They commute from their real homes and some hire the actual work done.
