I think the plastic sheting looks like a fantastic short term solution until the roof is done next year....Im just looking at those huge tiles on your roof. Are they stone slabs, they look huge???? How does a roof like that even get repaired...ayyyyyyy - you are so brave, I would just be completely overwhelmed :)
Hello! Yes, they are stone slabs, the largest ones are placed towards the lower part of the roof, and they will need to be completely removed. The structure is simple, stones resting on the beams, so they will need to be taken off in order to work on the underlying beams. It will definitely be a challenge! 🙏💪😅

I know that like me you also have referenced Martijn Doolaard. I believe that he did not put near enough insulation in his roof......I remain somewhat skeptical about the ability to heat a stone house like yours and Martijn's ..... however I hope for the best and send my best hopes for your success . Honestly, I'm not referring to Martin; I don't agree with some of his choices, and I think he made a big mistake with the roof. He positioned the only layer of insulation poorly, vertically instead of horizontally. It could lead to leaks. However, you are absolutely right about the stove. Along with my wife, we were looking for a very small one, even though my plan is to use a somewhat strange, perhaps, but hopefully effective idea of mine. When will you fix the roof and when will you change the door 🚪 and the windows 🪟 😒
