People talking about the other fast charging phone: the one plus saves battery life by slowing the charging speed when it hits 50% if they didn’t do so you would have to get the battery replaced often which is prolly the case with the other phone

My Unit comes to 30-38% in 15mins and takes 50 mins to full charge. Optimized charging is on and it only slows down last 20%. What Am I suppose to do?

This is because the 65W charger is made of GaN (Gallium Nitride) (used in laptops) instead of silicon in the 50W charger to reduce the size of the adapter!
This and the extra 500 mah is the reason for slow charge!
Also realme x2 pro has only 4000 mah whereas 8t has 500 mah more.

No it won't. Charging speed depends on how much your device allows. If it only allows 18 watts then no matter if you have 60watt charger it will only charge at 18watts.

Question for all the battery nerds out there: how much does this “fast charging” effect battery longevity? Is there any evidence out there showing that phones that have the faster charging rates also have to get the battery replaced more often?
I think the batterry degrades faster but still last for atleast 2 years until you notice it
Actually, it’s the same as any other phone, Fast-charging batteries work in two phases. The first phase applies a blast of voltage to the empty or nearly empty battery. This gives you that blazing charge of from 50% to 70% in the first 10, 15 or 30 minutes. That's because during the first phase of charging, batteries can absorb a charge quickly without major negative effects on their long-term health. and quick charging has no long term effects on battery health, the reason why it feels like it takes the same amount of time to go from 80% to 100% is because That last part is the second charging phase, where phone-makers have to slow down and carefully manage the charging speed or else the charge process actually could damage the battery.
What OnePlus did here is instead of quick charging one 4500mah battery, they have two 2250mah batteries connected as one, it can be dangerous to charge one battery at a full 65w I.E. exploding, catching fire. So instead this phone charges 2 2250mah batteries at about 32.5W each. There is also a copper cooling system that extends beneath the battery that will help enhance thermal management while charging. Hope this helps you better understand battery longevity.
In short, pretty much any phone you get now days, you can practically try to abuse the battery and you won’t even begin to see any short or long term effects up until about maybe 2 - 3 years of usage and longer if you take good care of your battery.

I don't think it will have 65W charging.. it would be probably limited to 30W
According to their launch announcement, you can use the 65watt charger to other devices but it will be capped at 45watts for non 8T units.

I'm facing an issue with my 8t now it is taking almost 1:30 hours to get full charge.
I do not know why, I recently up upgraded my OS. Post that I'm fact this issue. Can anyone suggest me what to do.
Check how much apps you use and how many of them are still active even when you don't use them. Try to check some battery saving tips on internet and also don't forget that to avoid damaging the battery fast chargers are design to recharge your phone slower and slower as it approaches 100%.

First have knowledge about why OnePlus has done this:-
The OnePlus charger is made of Gallium Nitride to reduce the bulkyness of charger unlike vooc and secondly they have slightly slowered the battery containing capacity during charging for the long term performance of the phone unlike vooc charger which heats up itself and the phone also heats up which is not good for its battery life and also OnePlus has extra 500 mah battery.
These are the reasons hope you understand.

But when phone gets heated it loses the electrons, so it affects battery life in long run.

I think very few people use smartphone for more than 2 years, so people who use a phone longer should consider safer charger.
also my tips for battery life is don't get your smartphone below 20% and only charge for 80 to 85% for longer battery life so that there is less stress on battery and will long last

There's no need to fight as it's not a big issue about that just 10-15 min difference and also I commented so that people could know the reason about the slow charging speed.
My X2 pro does heat a little sometimes but charger heats much and therefore realme has use the same technology as OnePlus 8t in charging in other flagships after X2 pro.
