It took Ryan 6 years to win a Natty because it was his first head coaching job. Urban came in having been a head coach for years and won Natties at other schools, as it also was with Jim.

2002 By Far! It had been so long, it seemed like an insurmountable mountain after going through the 90s with Cooper. God bless him and those 90s teams. We had also been getting our ass beat by the team up north . it had been since 1968. We were saying we were a power program we were a blue blood, but there was no proof since 1968. Going and beating that paid for Miami team, the Miami show boat and Dynasty, which we had to watch have success after success after success in the 90s was appalling. And as Tim said the journey to that and then the final double overtime game wow!
    2002!

I love all 3 … however my 2 cents says the 2002 team played 1 game to win the championship, 2014 had to play 2, 2024 not only had to play 4 games but 3 against arguably some of the best teams in the country. I’ll go with 2024

2002 & 2014 were the two most improbable… 2024 was the most incredible

For someone who wasn’t alive during the woody era Jim tressel is the best OSU coach I have seen his leadership his class and his Michigan record and all he did.

My friends & I cried in 2002 it was the 1st 1 I ever seen against big bad Miami paid 2014 is probably my favorite if I don't use recency bias. This run af the 4th L to are Rival was absolutely ridiculous, & I'm still smiling. I'm a fan but I was so happy for RD & this team. Let's hope we can keep the pieces together

2025 in an era where we have the transfer portal and NIL making it harder to recruit, retain, and keep a coaching staff makes this one the hardest one to win. Especially after losing to Pissichigan 4 years in a row and people were calling for ryan days job.

I like all of them equally and for different reasons. 02 was for slaying the “greatest team ever assembled” and breaking the drought. 14 for the 3rd string quarterback they didn’t stand a chance against mighty bama. This championship because of all of the vitriol that the players and coaches put up with and Ryan Day proved you can win a championship without being a dickhead to the players.

I like that. I'm still trying to be a Ryan Day fan. O-H-

Ohio State football, besides the game, the narratives are fun to follow.

I remember as far back as the beginning of the Cooper era. I have been a die hard fan since as long as I can remember. Tressel started the bar and raised it to, maybe a ridiculous level. Urban kept it going, and should have won 2. The bar was so high that when Day lost this yr to Michigan, we didn't look at him like Kirby smart and his path or how long saban was a coach before he started his run. I love the lesson this taught my kids, overcoming an inexcusable loss to one of the greatest championship runs in sports history. Super cool, and I was mad and my expectations were ridiculous too, but then they went out and lived up to them! Thank Day most though and this team, for the life, Christian and human example they set. That's number 1 in my book.

Winning the natty put a big bandaid over the November woon.

For me 02 just because the Miami team they had to beat was incredible but the hardest road was probably this yr. Ohio state was just such an underdog in that ship too that it made it special very rarely is OSU ever an underdog so it just means much more
