Even if the PS has issues I still like both consoles. PS for exclusives and single player games and XB for multiplayer games.

Same. I play ps5 for those sony exclusives (unless i get them on pc) and i play xbox for those xbox console exclusives (again, unless i get them on pc), and 3rd party games because of quick resume… and gamepass. Its natural that i game on xbox more than ps5, but i love em both equally
It's as if the developers didn't even bother to optimize for the PS5, I understand the Xbox Series X runs better as it is slightly more powerful than the PS5, but the Series S running better than the PS5 despite being considerably weaker in RAM and GPU?, that doesn't make any sense.
Especially considering that all the other cross-platform games I've seen so far run considerably worse on the Series S, sometimes you don't even have a 60fps mode on it. (such as Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, Guardian of the Galaxy, Alan Wake 2 and A Plague Tale Requiem which run at 60fps on both PS5 and Series X but not on Series S)
I mean so what this really shows is the simple fact that when one platform is prioritized over another, the optimization will not be as good on the less prioritized platform/console. So really, a lot of us need to stop these ridiculous arguments that Xbox suffers from poor performance across the board. At the end of the day if each variant of a game is equally optimized, there isn't going to be too much of a difference between series X and PS5, and we've seen plenty of the series S holding it's own and performing relatively well given the hardware and the price to be able to jump into current generation gaming.

The Xbox Series S uses the same architecture as the Series X, so I believe that at times it can benefit from the Series X port.
One note, Guardians of the Galaxy already has a mode of up to 60 fps on the Series S and I think A Plague Tale Requiem on 120 Hz TVs is above 30 fps on the condole, or is supported for these TVs.
PS5 has no game. It's weak. It's over. Xbox is 100 times better. 😊

@acetown2263 uhhh no, I get 120 fps ultra ray reconstruction quality upscale 🤣 and 60 fps no upscale and on my 3060 12 gb it gets 60 fps raytracing ultra, quality upscale which is not only a weaker gpu but at a higher resolution and graphic setting 💀
@n64slayer 3060 has more than 2 tflops and over 1000 shader units more than a ps5, I dont know how a 3060 is meant to be weaker than the ps5s gpu?? It's just bad optimisation
@zacr8292 the ps5 igpu is comparable to the performance of a 4060 I don't know all about the flops and stuff like that but either way that's not good at all for the ps5
@n64slayer a quick search says the ps5 gpu is closest to a RX 5700 or RTX 2070, the only thing that could make it be close to 4060 performance is the advantage of being a console and being better optimised by devs, but obviously this isn't the case with this game but even then a 4060 is way more powerful than ps5 gpu

They released a patch for the game, have a look. There’s a huge difference, most people in the comments won’t like it.
Im having relatively common stutters on a 3070 ti, i7 9700k, 32gb ddr4 2666mhz. I know this is a ps5 video but you have any idea if my rig is enough to handle this game? Doesnt matter If i play 1440P, 1080P, low, med, high settings, Stutters are sporadic but do happen
Make sure you have it stored on a ssd or it’s gonna run like shit
Unreal Engine 5 seems to like Series X. Tried this game on Series X, PS5 and PC and I can easily tell that PC is way to go is you after smooth gameplay and sharp image.

-in 2023 over 500,000 xbox series units were sold in japan sad considering its home of ps and that many still chose the xbox

@@sald142 Xbox which had a better gaming show than PlayStation, will have more new games from internal studios than PlayStation in 2024, will have Call of Duty day one on Xbox Game Pass/Ultimate and better partnerships with third party studios for their services.
I prefer games, not just talking about sales.
NOTE: Sony also had layoffs, closed an internal studio and will launch fewer new games from its studios in 2024.

Does the Series X's VRR correct the frame rate better in this game? Some channels show that the Series X's VRR is superior overall for gaming.
It has a lower boundary than ps5 so if you want your sub 60fps game to look good it will look better on series x which is great since most games run better on ps5 anyway so series x needs that lower threshold

When you turn off frame gen, it wilp contrinue to run all wonky. You have to relaunch after messing with that setting. If you want the console to run at a consistent frame rate.

So I played this game for about 3 hours on my PS5 with a 4k monitor that supports 120hz with vrr enable and I didn't experience any of these problems. I play on performance with the frame generation mode on and my gameplay has been smooth. I'd have to try this game on my Xbox series X and see which one runs better. I play my X on a OLED that supports 120 and vrr as well.
So I have a 4k tv that supports, 1440p 120hz and 1080p 120hz. I have 1440p 120hz set in my settings for my xbox series x and it works on other games, but when I load into this game it switches it to 4k 60hz idk how but it happens. My TV also has vrr support. Also when I go into settings i can only switch between performance and fidelity, and the frame gen option is locked. Can anyone please give me an answer to why this maybe happening?
Make sure to enable vrr on both your console and tv. This should solve the frame gen problem. I have massive vrr flicker in this game and when i turned vrr off i couldnt use the frame gen option so i guess this might be the Problem
Make sure you enable VRR, you can also disable “allow 4K” so when you launch game it’s not switching back to 4K/60.
Im gonna use my 3060 pc tonight to see if its better than playing on console cus that looks attrocious
The game was stuttering as fuck on pc and the fps was all over the place too, don't know if they fixed it by now
@italoinacio4901 I have had a few stutter but I'm pretty sure most of them were internet related and the rest is because of my hard drive so idk 🤷♂️
your 3060 pc is equivalent to the consoles in performance, but i would say better factoring in graphics and display settings, unlocked framerates, upscaling, frame generation, etc.

Should we use frame generation or not? I have really good fps on Xbox Series X without it. What do we gain with frame generation if we play only 60 fps capped? They should introduce 120fps mode with frame generation to utilise it.

Frame generation is not VRR.
Frame generation is AI based solution to increase framerates.
VRR is is display technology that matches refresh rate of display to framerate of content. It does not generate any frames.
The comment section in the video is mostly about console warriors arguing over which console is better.

i dont see how everybody is having issues.... i run smoothly with ray tracing on on fidelity mode and in performance with and without frame gen... im on a series x.. with an aorus fo32u2 oled 240hz 4k monitor... if your xbox has less than 25% free storage you will see performance dips, but its little reasons like that that i feel none of these reviews are correct. i play with hdr on also . Ive played every single graphics option and i can say it runs smoothly. my friends however have a horrible time on their series x. maybe i got a better console idk.
also if you play public your framerate will drop but if you play privately the game runs way smoother.
When developers optimize consoles they are very similar, enjoy the game for both Ps5 and Xbox!

I was playing the Ps5 version and the colors are washed out and fps look poor. It will need more patches to fix the issues.

The frame gen explanation was way off, basically stopped describing it after you mentioned you would try to explain it.
Frame gen "is" capable of allowing the console to hit up to 120fps and the the fps IS 120 when it hits it but only half the frames are acted on with user input so the latency or REAL performance is not 120 but half or less than the output frame rate. VRR "can" display all these frames up to 120fps. If you need a second example of it working it's also available on immortals of aveum
