Just watching 15 min of Cerundolo vs Rafa at Wimbledon was enough to see how much talent and potential this man has
Yes, that was a big exclamation mark!
Who pushes the Big 3 to 4 or 5 will do big things in the future.
still got smashed tho by a 36 year old rafa
Absolutely
@@Mbetman but it's rafa mistake in 3rd set otherwise rafa should have beat him in 3 rafa is different from other players
Huge potential and hard worker he will be a seriously big threat in a few months wish him all the best
Notice how often Cerundolo hits the ball down the line. He deceives with his body language, imitating a cross court shot, then fires it down the line. He definitely mastered that in practice
Cerundolo has powerful, accurate, and consistent strokes! Impressive.
People hate on Rublev when he loses, but Cerundolo just played a good match
Vigil: Exactly where do you see all the hate?
Francisco Cerundolo's forehand is one of the most underrated on the tour!
At shoulder size, its unstoppable!
Rublev is the type who would give you the best on a good day and the worst on a bad day. Still one of my favorite players though, I'll always watch him if he's on. Cerundolo's just been on an amazing run recently, not your average opponent.
feels like rublev doesnt have much variation in his game when the baseline game doesn't turn in his favour
@@damien8267 he has no variation lol
@@damien8267 by now he just has to improve his shot selection and speed up the second serve. And only that will help significanfly
Great to see Francisco continuing his great form that gave him the title last week.
Vamos tocayo!
Vamos Cerundolo!
If cerundolo stays consistent till the end of the year i am pretty sure he can make it to top 15
I think if he works on his serve he gets there! Right now he’s really just a clay court specialist
@@Jacob-rq5zb "his serve"
@@erxu grow up
this is a pretty conservative projection considering he is already 20th in the race standings and could be 13th by Monday if he wins Hamburg
@@Jacob-rq5zb No, his serve is the best as it can be, he just has serve like that. There is not much space for improvement. For me Cerundolo has playing style of Tsonga.
This guy is really really good... hope he keeps evolving like up until now!
Cerundolo has had some truly excellent plays recently! Very excited to see what the rest of the year holds for him!
This boy is a great talent! 💯👏🏽👍🏽
Cerundolo is just gaining confidence and his game just keeps improving all around, and he can also play on hard courts and has the size and weapons .....could he go all the way to the top 10 ? for sure he will finish top 20 this year if healthy.
He is amazing, this Year it's gonna be TOP TEN
Cerundolo plays so good lately. Great player!!
Oh my God, what a masterclass. This man will be a dangerous dark horse floater in many years to come if he keeps his rapid improvement going.
As an Argentinian and also tennis fan, i've been watching how Cerundolo has been playing lately and his gameplay is increasing a lot, not quite time before he reached his first title and showed his big conditions for facing Rafa on Wimbledon as well.
Impressive run from him 👏👏 🎾 🇦🇷
New rising star have born. ..#Cerundolo. .😍
Cerundolos forehand is something special
I knew it from the match with Rafa.. this got me thinking as to how good Rafa was at Wimbledon
Clever as Nalbandian, monster forehand as Del Potro, calm as Federer
and somehow with those skills hes only number 30
@@nn-fo3mk While I don't think he'll ever be as good as Nalbandian or Del Potro (both had N° 1 type talent), Cerundolo is just starting to play according to his potential. He recently made improvements in his mental aspects, which used to keep him down until recently
@@juanmanuelgoni9120 thats what im saying im just mocking the OP for his impulsive comment
Just been to one of his games (the final in Bådstad) and I wouldn’t call him “calm”. But the way he’s using the entire court with precision, is impressive. Mentally he might need to improve when facing the top 5 guys and not necessarily dominating the match.
Knew this guy was a beast since feb at cordona open, already in top 30 damn
*Cordoba
Note that the 2021 edition was won by his brother, Juan Manuel Cerundolo, who honestly doesn't come close to Francisco's level.
Rublev needs to part ways with Fernando Vicente; he needs a new coach who can work with him in other aspects of his game, rather than just baseline shots. He has a Del Potro-like forehand, and a solid backhand, unlike Berrettini, for instance. If he had a "multidimensional" game, he'd definitely be somewhat similar to Alcaraz. He's definitely one of the world's best right now, regardless of these last matches
Agreed
agreed. he have to work on 2nd serve and bring dropshot to repertoare, also he is too dedicated, some zen mode will help
@@darkodragicevic2956 his weaknesses are that sevond ball and his temperement..
And also the variation thg lol
agreed with everything except Alcaraz - do not like idiots.
Dude's on another level lately. He is definitely going places at this pace.
Como me ceba Fran, increíble...
Cerundolo's game just keeps on getting better.
Cerúndolo is a fantastic player.
Great going and he is shocking results!! - Cerundolo name to watch now!!
Cerundolo is becoming one of my favorite players. Hi forehand is one of the best in the games. He hits what I would say a Heavy ball on the forehand side. There is a difference between pace and heavy ball. A heavy ball has so much energy it can knock your racquet out of you hands. This man will be top 5 one day.
watched it 2nd part of the 1st set..
my God..
what a level from the young Argentine..
Grande Francisco! 🇦🇷
Wow Francisco is on fire!💥 Looking awesome, vamos! Lets go!🚀🚀
We all know that it is useful to put top spin on the ball on a clay court because it creates higher bounce. But Rublev's weapon - his forehand is maybe 80% of flat but only 20% top spin, so the forehand speed is f**king fast, but in this video, we see that Cerundolo often hit the ball to Rublev's forehand side, that's bold from him, and if you are bold enough on the tour, you can play many good matches and jump into the top 15!
Longest sentence I've ever seen.
Scary how good he is
It is like a masterclass!
Ojalá pueda tener consistencia ! Los golpes que tiene son muy vistosos
this Argentine will follow the footsteps of Del Potro with that big weapon of a forehand
FLAWLESS!!
Cerundolo is running fast towards the top of the rankings.
Impresionante como ta jugando est muchachin! Q sigan los éxitos! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
What a fucking beast
Unfortunately, today was a sad day at the office for Andrey Rublev😔
After showing some promising shots and leading 3-0 in the 1st set, a wrong call made by the chair umpire at 0-30 affected Andrey's mood and energy enourmosly. Drowning in frustration after that point, he couldn't find back his rythm or at least a bit of hope to cling on. The rest of the match showed us a disappointed Andrey who couldn't find within himself a reason to continue the fight as the sadness took over him.
Andrey, I know you are not in the best mood right now and you think that the outcome of the match could have been different and you are right, but never forget that every loss, even though it is painful at the moment, is a lesson that takes you one step closer to finding new ways to improve in order to be the best version of yourself. Now take some rest and don't think about this match too much. Don't forget that we will stand by your side and support you no matter what happens! Looking forward to watch you play in Washington!🤗
Who is he? Kyrgios or Bublik to be affected by a single umpire decision?
Wow Rublev actually has fans
@@duncan3932 He is a good and funny guy overall, so that's why probably.
Rublev, Rublev...Rublev..Rublevv anld more Rublevv.. sorry i forgot Rublev... only Rublev.. played today apparently... ?
This is so ridiculous that it looks like someone paid by the kremlin to do some PR for russian athletes
Cerundolo basically has no points to defend the rest of this year. He should target the top 15.
Una locura fran. Vamooo
Cerundolo is a master on clay. With some confidence he will be unbeatable on clay..!!
This was very unexpected in my eyes but what a last few weeks he has had.
Reminds me of Kuerten, crazy talent
Impresionantes Cerundolo!!! genio!!! vamos por todo!!!
For any Spanish speakers, you should follow a RUclips channel called BATennis. Fran's father is a contributor for that website/channel and he sometimes joins livestreams and gives great analysis of his son's play.
Francisco is on the roll!
I saw Cerundolo live at Queens recently (vs Peniston) and thought he played a good match. He's so much better on clay!
Cerundolo is on fire right now
Those days when you are in the zone...
Sometimes all a player needs is a match that makes him lose the respect for the "unbeatable" guys.
Now Cerundolo is unleashing his full potential.
Bien Cerundolo..respetuoso y ganador!
1:27 221km/h serve returned like it was nothing... sigh

I just have a feeling in the upcoming months Francisco is going to improve that backhand even more solid than it is now, and then if so, players are going to feel like they are playing a modern Argentine version of Andre Agassi, in my opinion, in terms of his hitting style (no one hits on the rise and had the timing like Agassi did), but I see some similarities with Cerundolo, he is a shotmaker. Continue on and upwards Cerundolo, he is becoming one of my favorite players to watch play on a tennis court, whether he wins or loses, just because of the way he plays, its exciting to me.
Excellent ball striking
Oh boy, oh boy! What was that?? Inspiring stuff from Cerundolo.
looks like taking a set off rafa really helped his confidence skyrocket
Steamrolled that second set, mans was just playing different
I think I heard the balls cry a couple of times seeing as how hard they were hitting them
curendelo out of this world plays, cg
Vamos Fran!
Sen tennischimisan?
Rublev will be 40 years and still hitting the ball very hard wherever it goes...
I have never seen Cerundolo play. I very much like what I saw. He does not run around his forehand, a plus. Backhand it's a weapon, technically perfect. I'll wait and see. Many had knocked at the door before.....
Massacre Slaughter
OK... Cerundolo will Meet Karatsev again in the QF.
Forehand looks stronger than rublev 🤣 and backhand is pretty good too
Wasn't as flawless as the title says. He played well no doubt though
Looks like Cerundolo is going to be soon joining Alcaraz as the legit NexGen.
This Match was good
Cerundolo is a baller
Cerundolo is so handsome!
If only the chair umpire didn't make a stupid call that breaks Andrey's rythm
Andrey should focus then
REVIVIO EL TENIS
CerundoGOD
Cerundolo has clearly improved recently, while Rublev keeps playing the exact same, predictable, way for years now. I'm very surprised the russian has not trying something else.
Cerundolo found the way to keep Rublev running side to side....that is a smart game. Congrats Francisco! Just do not do " la gran argentina " , which is these new argentinian players they played well for couple of years and as soon as they have some money they get distracted with social life.......
His forehand is just absurd
Big3 are from different planet, if we ignore them almost all top 250 players are playing in similar level, it won't be easy even for world no 1 Medvedev to beat any outside top50 player
Rublev was actually crying, it was unbelievable
Rublev is no slouch on clay as he won in Hamburg before, so to come back from 0-3 down in the first set and win against the world number 8 is impressive.
There is no reason why Francisco could not be in the top 5 next year!
FRANCISCO Gut Gemacht!
Rublev has not been doin too good lately. Hoping he finds his form
Wow 🤩
The Argentine guy is unbelievable!
Rublev not good on clay ,
all huff and puff … !
always nice to see when rublev cant do nothing and cry
Y ahora... fuaaah
All it takes is confidence and belief, its the mental of the game, he has the strokes, but he is developing I feel the mentality of not wanting to lose or if he does lose, its not because he is giving up. That's is something players need to compete and rise in the rankings. Its always said that the difference between a top elite tennis player and a lower ranked level player is ultimately not just because of the skills of hitting a tennis ball or even being in tip top shape, its mental, your competitive spirit, in not giving an inch once you are on the court, no matter the score for you or against you, that you compete as hard as you can with the best of your ability and your total belief in yourself and in those abilities, and I believe this is true. Cerundolo is improving on all aspects there and has room for even more improvement, if he ever improves even more on the backhand side, and even more mental side, players are going to know how where to hit the ball against him.
Anyone know what Rublev got his point penalty for?
Go Cerundolo
It's interesting how all the points highlighted here are points which Cerundolo won... Didn't Rublev have any exciting winners?
He did - he had some great ones.. But TennisTV is often biased with its highlights - they've completely erased Rublev from this match😕 Cerundolo was really great but the match wasn't nearly as one-sided as the highlights show..
