He's gorgeous, he's hilarious, he's Irish, what's not to like.? I've heard all of these several times before but still nearly fell out of bed laughing!
meh, he's somewhat of an acquired taste. Geeky humor. I can appreciate it, but it has to fit you, it's not that accessible, you have to like clever jokes. The Klingon joke about performing such a menial task is a nice example. Milton is similar, but his humor is more about being awkward and absurd, where Boyle is rude and obnoxious, trashing. More people can relate to that. Ed byrne is low key because he has humor that only fits a small crowd, a crowd that is low key itself.
Fact: Out of all guest panelists in Mock The Week, Ed Byrne has made the most guest apperances at 60 apperances, and is also the one guest panelist that's been appearing the longest out of all guest comics on the show, because he made his first apperance on Mock The Week in series 3 and was still making apperances in the latest series, series 18
I also think he's one of the most consistently good guest panelists. There aren't many appearances of his where he isn't the funniest one in the room, imo.
I repeated it on some Facebook post, I like repeating Mock the Week jokes on semi related topics. Most recently, SNL made a fake title for the next Indiana Jones, movie and I commented the title someone on Mock the Week gave for it.
Such an underrated comedian, I feel like, similarly to Dara, he's just sort of there and people don't pay him much attention because he's so funny. I've never not found him even mildly amusing
Oh man really, the guys a comedy vacuum. Just awful, he's worse than a hack at least they know what they are. This guy thinks he's relevant...tedious, mediocre and the comedians know/should know that but they get paid and by ignoring the banality/poor quality of comedians they learn to tolerant and become hacks themselves...

“Let’s Decorate the Shit out of this House!” “Let’s Cook the Shit out of Some Dinner “I’m Gonna Sell These Antiques if it Fucking Kills Me!” “Cooking While Pissed!” His energy is hilarious and his shows are terrific
The Igglepiggle skit at 13:20 is one of the best moments on MTW, the delivery is just superb. Ed Byrne is the best contestant by a country mile. Just my opinion, but I'm right.
is that true though? even though I havent seen many BBC panelists on Ch4 shows Ive seen some, even Dara, also the question of would he make that joke if that was true comes to mind but the answer is 50/50 :D
One of the most clever comedians I've on this show. I don't watch it (mainly because I'm not from the UK or live there) but from all the things I've seen from MTW here on yt, Ed is probably my favourite in terms of lighter comedy. Frankie appeals to my twisted dark sense of humour but Ed is just different :)
therainman Ed is like the middle ground, Milton is the lightest regular that I've seen on yt and he's great. Then again, almost everyone on this show gets a laugh out of me.
I have bipolar and am the constant jester in my friendship group no matter my mood. When I'm happy my brother's friendship group call me Ed after Ed Byrne, and when I'm depressed they refer to me as Frankie. Despite the fact that I'm 15 and a girl. It's fun though because they like having me around and my nicknames help me understand how people are perceiving me at different times because half the time I have noooo bloody clue. 7 people have said that half the time I remind them of Frankie Boyle recently. It's been going on since I was 10 💀
Ed Byrne's appearances on scenes we'd like to see have always been the best thing about Mock The Week. His Andy Murray one thinking about the Williams sisters at 6:10 is still the funniest thing I have ever heard. Andy Murray and his partner Kim's reaction were priceless too!
Missed one(/two?) of my favorites- “There’s corruption in this elevator company, and I think it goes all the way to the top.” To which Ed Byrne replied- “Trying to expose corruption in my elevator company. You’re going down.”
One of my favorites missing (from one of his earliest appearances) is from a round of “Unlikely Things to Hear in the House of Lords”: My name is E. Lordy. I’d like you to call me...Lord E. Lordy.
Ed and Dara are the EXACT epitome of an Irishman living in England, hilarious, less well paid than their counter parts, and pulling three times their weight. Holy fuck these guys are good.
He’s a genius writer but also his delivery is amazing I think he is one of the best on the circuit STILL decades later plus you can see how much he makes Dara lose it More than even Frankie Boyle at times
My first impression is that the dashboard is quite unorthodox and very minimust. There doesn't seem to be a steering wheel... Oh I'm sitting in the back 😂😂😂
Anyone knows where to find an outtake? The one where Ed doesn't make it to the platform on time and all of them have to get up continuously for retakes
Things you wouldn’t hear on a cookery show: we’re gonna byrne Ed, Ed Byrne mind coming over here to burn whilst Ed gamble gambles on your chance of not blowing the studio up?

I don't know Cor, for me Frankie is an edgy sixteen year olds comedian. At first he's something new, shocking, he goes where others do not, but with time you realize that his material isn't just all that. He's funny at times, but relies way too much on the shock factor of hia jokes.
Fellow Traveler I don't think he's edgy so much so that he'll crack a joke at some of the darker topics that most comedians won't touch and appeals alot more to those with a darker sense of humour. I don't go out of my way to watch him but I think he's quite funny when he's on MTW
I understand your approach, but personally I find that I get tired of him quite soon. He's had golden moments, like the Richard Hammond joke which was genuinely hilarious. But I often find him having a whack at a certain type of joke time after time after time and it becomes quite formulaic.
"...Pretty easy reporting on things that have already happened. Now, predicting THE FUTURE...!"
One of my favourites too.
One of his best jokes
It turns out that TRUTHFULLY reporting on things that have happened is equally "hard", sadly...

Ed Byrne is one of the most underrated comedians of all time.... his jokes are so clever and perfectly delivered
I would not agree under rated but he is brilliant. Have seen him live and he is superb x
