Even though some of your cards graded higher they looked about the same that's why if you collect buy the card not the grade because if your happy why spend extra money for no reason
Fantastic “show down” episode of one of the all-time greats. Seaver has definitely grown underrated in the hobby. Speaking of under appreciated elite pitchers, i can’t wait for the Lefty Carlton show next week.
@@ClementeCollector The next episode is Steve Carlton. Already know that the streak will continue for both. But it will be fun to see the cards. It's what matters. To have the cards. And if anything else, the gentleman from Missouri, he has the cards. Just not the grades. 😉
Chris, mentioned in the video that Tom Seaver doesn't have the fanfare of Nolan Ryan, which that may be true, but I think even more so for Steve Carlton. Carlton has 4 CY Youngs. He also has over 300 wins AND over 4,000 strike outs. His rookie card is like half the price of both Ryan...and Mr. Terrific.
Well, I was hanging with you both until the rookie card - the only card I don't have of his. I had a total of 240 points. So except for the rookie card, I would have beat Chris. 😀
There is no doubt Seavers was one of a handful of pitchers that reach baseball immortality for his great talent pitching. Another the ng he did, which many forget, was to correct a great injustice to a great man by getting his ex-Mets coach, Gil Hodges, elected to baseballs hall of fame. For year before his passing, Tom kept on the smembers of the veterans committee concerning Gil. In Tom’s HOF speech he gave a very gracious thank you to Gil for turning his into a professional baseball pitcher. It’s sad he never got to see the last great “Boys of Summer” make it.

Great cards guys.
Awesome Seaver cards, thanks for sharing
Tom Seaver was awesome as a Cincinatti Red.

Thanks TJ.
Awesome to see all these Tom Terrific cards . Fun as always fellas
One of my Player runs where I have all the cards. My number was 256.5 Not too bad. Great job tonight gentlemen.
Very impressive!!
Looking forward to seeing y’all’s cards of Cardinals World Series Champion Steve Carlton
I see you released this video at the dead of night, was that to protect Chris reputation? 😂
Not really Theo. I just totally goofed on setting up the release time.
@@BaseballCollector yea I figured, great show!

Thank you both for another great showcase showdown. Seaver and Carlton back to back. Looking forward to next week.
Great show again guys. Would love to see Ray from Philly to join again for the Carlton show. Keep up the great content.
Thanks for sharing love seeing player runs. I got a few points for having the notable 1986 Topps traded Boston Red Sox with the airbrushed hat.

Great episode! Love the Seaver cards and can't wait to see the Carlton run!
Great show and cards as always, my Seaver cards aren't graded.
Still fun to watch you two go at it.
I feel bad for Chris, Mike was like the Cobra Kai - No Mercy 😎😎
Some very nice and collectable cards!
Chris, if it’s any consolation, I think you kept it close in the only Seaver cards that matter (Metsies!!)
Getting the feeling this show is hurting Chris’s bank account….
This actually wasn’t a bloodbath. It’s the little victories like that at this point. Haha
Can't get enough of these showdowns!
Seaver is a great run! It's always entertaining to watch you two share your very impressive collections.
Thanks Aaron.
let’s go Lefty > Seaver
It will be fun.
Another wonderful episode showing cardboard love! Please consider creating a playlist for this series!
Great idea!
Chris, I have faith in you. You will win again. But not yet. Not yet. Can't take off the Boston Celtics Shaq jersey off just yet either. 😥
Someday he will win again for sure.
Cool concept for show. Waiting for the Mantle 🎉
Mantle is coming. I promise.
One of my favorite RUclips shows
Thanks. We love doing it.
