- myself and my wife did a trip through the high country for a week and this is part one. Not a whole lot of driving because there was no real interesting tracks. Enjoy
Great video as always, thanks a lot!
Congratulations on your wedding guys!
The ring came and the moustache went 🤔, hahaha.
Thanks mate! Hahaha yeah that was my choice. They might make a come back in the future
Your in the best part of the world! We ride that whole area! Road and bush! We found some fully sick tracks, have fun!!!!!
It is an epic part of the world for sure! Cheers
Congratulations to you guys on the wedding.
Thanks mate
Congratulations you two on getting married, good to see you both enjoying your honeymoon having fun in the country 4x4ing and camping, tough rig too👌👍
Thanks mate! Appreciate it.
Yeow! Love your work, love the roof rack and congratulations!
Cheers mate! It came up mint
Hey m8 absolutely loved this vid , keep the camping and exploring 1s coming, nice camera work from your Mrs and congrats the the both of you 👍🍻🍻
Thanks mate. Another 2 coming right up haha! Cheers
Mount Baldhead tower and hut are used for Emergency Services radio.
Most of the sites out in the middle of nowhere are for the same stuff.
Thanks for the info. Good to know! Cheers
awesome vid Daniel, congratulations to the both of you and all the best for the future
Thank you mate.
Congratulations to you both and cheers for taking us on your temporary Aussie honeymoon🤙🏽
Thanks mate. Not the honeymoon we were after but still a good one haha
Hi mate good to see ya wheeling a bit with the wagon
Cheers 🍻
Thanks mate
Marthavale hut was actually burnt down in the fires about 5 years ago from memory. Was an unreal hut back in its day!
Ah yes that’s good to know! Cheers
Congrats on the wedding mate !
Great video look forward to seeing part 2
Thanks mate. Will be out next week!
Nice 1 👍 congrats.
Thanks mate
Great vid mate. I think I’ll have to go checkout Wentworth Falls!
Worth checking it out mate! Cheers
Good to see ortons is still fun we did it a couple years ago. We drove like an hour out of the way just so we could drive up it haha
Ortons is good now. Someone said they drove it a few years and again the other week and said it’s way harder now so it’s worth checking out.
Definitely looks a bit more washed out
Great stuff mate.
Thanks for sharing again 👍👍
Thanks mate
conrgats on getting hitched ol boy, really enjoyed this one of the best ones yet not just hard tracks, but touring and camping as well top stuff. just missing a cooking segment hahaha
Thanks mate! Something a little different, but I like to mix it up a little bit here and there when I can! Hahaha don’t think you’ll be seeing a cooking segment here. Cheers mate
@@DanielKistler lol, not a 4x4 channel without a cooking something, jks I've already got merch for ya ( Kistler cook ) tshirt haha
@@NISMO-OFFROAD Hahahaha! I like the idea. Might have to get the mrs in on the cooking part haha
@@DanielKistler haha , yeah had a feeling you couldn't boil water
@@NISMO-OFFROAD Hahahaha!! I’m not that bad but the misses is definitely good at it
Hey mate, any chance on getting a rundown video on the 60? It’s a cool truck. Toyota man through and through but your videos are awesome 👏
Hey mate, it’s in the cards. He needs to give it some love and bring it back out of the shed then we will do something
Beauty Dan! Where’s the waterfalls at?
Totally forgot that the falls were in this video haha. It’s at the end of Wentworth falls track mate. You have to pull up and walk in.
surprised you say the swaybar if making it lift wheels. would of thought without swaybar connected it would be better not worse. front or rear?
Sway bar in the rear helps stiffen it up and send more force to the front and flex it more. So without a sway bar the rear flex’s real easy leaving the front to just pick up wheels. Try it one day it’s horrible hahaha
@@DanielKistler i dont run a front but a heavy duty Whiteline rear swaybar and always disconnect it when serious offroading. got super flex arms up front too and locker so i hadnt really noticed an issue as yet.
@@vincem5 yeah I run the same sway bar in the rear. I Leave it connected 100 percent of time haha
Hey mate! Love the videos, and the rig is sweet, very well set up! Question, how much would you put aside to turbo a 4.2 petty patrol? Roughly, understandable if it’s all depending on condition of current engine. 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Hey mate thanks for checking them out! All depends on how much you can do yourself. But 6k will get you a pretty decent set up and you can always update things down the track!
@@DanielKistler Awesome! Im in the market for either the 3.2 petty GQ or a 4.8 GU. tough decision as the GU is a little nicer inside/long distance touring.
@@lewiev7560 that’s the go! The gu is certainly nicer for the touring stuff
congratulations on getting married great video looking forward to the next part
Thanks mate!
Congrats of the wedding mate. Great Vid. Can I get a bit more info on that waterfall? Was it Wentworth Falls that you said? Tried a search in Google and it shows a town in NSW, so seems I got it wrong maybe?
Thanks mate! Yeah Wentworth falls on the Wentworth river, there’s a dead end track on MacDonald road near messmates track and it’s at the end of that!
@@DanielKistler thanks mate.
I've had the exact same issue with my rear sway bar, top bolt fell out and bent the bracket over and the sway bar was catching and making horrid noises 😂😂
Hahaha yep I know the noise!!
Congratulations on the wedding! Looks like a great trip away, what navman/map system do you use for in the car ?? I need something to correspond to my roof top maps for a similar trip, but there is lots of different reviews on the top brand in car map systems.
Cheers.
P.S your a lucky man, my Mrs wouldn't be getting out of the car to film me haha.
Thanks mate! I use a Samsung tablet with the hema 4wd maps run by the memory maps app. Works pretty well and does what I need it do it!
Haha that’s why I put a ring on it. Cheers
Congrats on the wedding mate
Thanks mate
Yet another great video mate! Do you always run a rear sway bar even when wheeling hard tracks or just when loaded up camping? Do you run a front sway bar as well?
Thanks mate. I always run a rear sway bar. Heavy duty 24mm one aswell. Would never run without it haha! I don’t use a front, they hang
Down too low, would snap off on the first drive! Cheers
@@DanielKistler thanks for the reply mate and the insight on the sway bars👍🏻. Keep up the great videos and look forward to the next one. Cheers
@@Rob_denbrok no worries at all mate! Cheers
Congrats guys:D Roof sliders worked out really well! Is the tube welded to roof with the gutters deleted?
Thanks mate! Just welded to the roof with the gutters still there.
Good video mate and nice tunes. Who's the music by?
Thanks mate! It’s just off the RUclips music studio so no idea really!
woop woop epic clip Dan
Finally the ol girl gets to stretch her legs.
Awesome looking bar work 👍
Haha it’s about time! Still not finished yet though! Cheers mate
Great stuff.. are you running stock CVs and Axels? Just wanted to get your thoughts on RCV or other Chrome Moly upgrades
Thanks mate both my cars have stock rear axles and rcv in the front. Worthy upgrade for sure!
Same as many others congratulations!
Thank you!
Nice video mate
Thanks mate
Car is lookin good mate, very tough!
What kind of navigation is that you run?
Thanks mate! It’s just the hema 4wd map run through memory maps on a Samsung tablet
Welcome to the married couples club👍🏻💥
Haha thanks mate!
Hey mate, what map software do you use on the tablet?
Hey mate, just the hema 4wd maps run on the memory map app. Works well
@@DanielKistler fair enough, I run ozi explorer with rooftops and a few other maps overlayed but the app crashes often due to the size.
Been thinking of investing in something so I'll have a suss of hema.
Have heard their new updates have been a bit average though..
@@liamfletcher7226 that would be good, I still prefer the paper maps but I just use the tablet to see where I’ve been and it’s good to see which turns you need to take or coming up just on the screen! Doesn’t have all the tracks on there but it does what I need it to do!
@@DanielKistler yea nothing beats paper, having it all there at once! It's a hard one though cause I'm on an adventure bike so don't like stopping all the time.
@@liamfletcher7226 yeah in the case a good map on the tablet is the go!
Few sketchy moments on ortons.👌👌
For sure! No sway bar and weight up high is no good!!
Awesome video
Thanks mate
Mate you do a great job on the camera work and enjoy the videos, but!have you got something hanging on your camera or might just be super sensitive and picking up when you move it in your hand, but keep getting this tapping, scratchy sort of noise coming through when your holding it,sorry mate pissy little winge, don't shoot me down to hard.🤣
Thanks mate! Unfortunately that’s the noise that the GoPro picks up. The speaker is very sensitive and I don’t have an external microphone which I probably should get! The very slightest of hand movements make them noise even holding a handle. Sorry about that haha. I need to learn more about cameras and update it!
very good!
Thanks mate
Yeah that was cool 👍✌
Thanks mate
Says a lot for this years summer, it’s around the end of Summer when u filmed this and both you & your bride are wearing non summer like clothing,
Yeah it’s been a very cool summer this year! Absolutely no complaints from me! Haha
Congrats guys! Bloody covids fucked alot of plans even myself.
Thanks mate! Yeah I know a few people aswell who have had trouble planning stuff. Very frustrating times!
go on a trip with livin 4X4
If I ever get invited I will haha
@@DanielKistler hit him up on Instagram it would be a great video for both of you
I’ll just wait and see if I get invited haha! Cheers mate
