Flown my air for two years and I have PolarPro filters for it, I do envy the longer flying time on air 2. My air is on fcc and distance is not exactly an issue. I like to see someone compare mini 2 to air as well
Thanks for the video. Only thing I really do not like about Mavic air one is the WiFi transmission. I think for me it comes down a few things Mavic air one is much lighter and compact along with it batteries and control. For me it would pointless buying the Mavic air two EU version as it will against proposed aviation laws in the next year here in the UK as well I have heard. Also as a hiker I need carry all my video photography gear in a backpack so it seems Scilly buying a bigger drone when Mavic air one is a very good but smaller drone. I can see if weight and size not a issue then it's good drone if you don't live in the EU or UK.

I just got the MA2 and it’s amazing! I just wish it gave me the option to change how fast the gimbal moves like MA1 does and no option to connect a Facebook account to live stream from the air ☹️
Great video! I have owned both and must say the pros outweigh the cons for me on the newer mavic air 2 although I do miss that small form factor on the original mavic air I love my occusync 2.0 more lol

This has to be a serious question for people who have the MA .To be honest, nothing here was that much different to warrant me spending money for MA2 because with good filters the MA is stunning. The sound of the blades on ma2 is great. And the battery. But that’s not enough to buy the latest air2 48 mp only being on jpeg is a bore. Thanks for your comparison though. Loads to think about.

Nice comparison! I can add that for Quickshots, with the latest updates, Mavic Air 2 can now shoot all except the Asteroid in 2.7K and 4K as well. Before you hit start, tap the ... menu and in Camera, select the desired resolution!

You can do the quick shots in 4K too. Just hit the 3 dots while quick shots is open. Just like how you told me how to switch between 8k and 1080p hyperlapse 😁
Good video, much enjoyed. The Air 1 still has some features that Air 2 does not. I like the fact that Air 1 can be flown with just the phone, and also without using gesture fly. not something g that is used a lot,but can be useful. I also really like the fact that Air 1 can interface with Litchi, which Air 2 cannot ( yet ). I still really like the Air 1, it is still much smaller that Air2, it’s biggest negatives are the short flight time, limited range and noise. Probably, I will buy an Air2, but I think I would hold on to my Air 1 as well.
A nice comparison between MA1 and MA2 - beautiful location overall. Current pricing in Australia from the AU DJI store is quite expensive. MA2 on its own is AU$1499, and MA2 Fly More Combo is AU$1899, with the extra batteries at AU$199ea. The real feature that I like is the Active Track on the MA2, which is better than the MA1 - I'd been keen to get the MA2 for that. Anyway, a bit pricey due to bad AU$ to US$ and no job makes me stick with my MA1 for now.

Defenietly Mavic air 2. I was waiting mavic air price to drop -50% after MA2 launch to buy it but actually the price stayed normal so I bought Mavic Air 2 for my first drone ever. And it is amazing❗ And I recommend fly more combo. The battery goes pretty fast when you are so exited flying it 😁🌞

Im not a fan of dji software but the mini and Air 2 i like more than the others for the price and what it does...i nearly got the mini but canceled it i have the Anafi i love it and all quickshots are in 4k
I have other drones as a newbie pilot that need to be compass calibrated each time and my zino needs that plus horizontal calibration. Been saving for a long time for dji mavic Air 2. Been told no CALIBRATIONS are needed at all prior to flight. Is this correct ?

One of the points to mention (at least for those in the US) is that Mavic Air is under the 500g FAA limit, whereas the Mavic Air 2 is above it, and thus MA2 requires a FAA registration.

You forgot that Mavic Air can work with Litchi and Autopilot which gives it so much more autonomy than you currently can do with MA2. So if your looking for that more professional smooth looking shot and your not a pro pilot Air has the advantage there as litchi can do all its autonomy at the Ma's full 4k / 30FPS or 2.7k / 60FPS resolutions as opposed to the DJI has severely reducing your resolution options for the quick shots. Once the SDK for MA2 is released and it gets compatibility with the 3rd party apps then it will be a real player.

Ok I gotta be honest! I love my Mavic Air 2 yes.. BUT.. I am sooo disappointed no one is talking about the fact.. they have left out the Tap To Fly, Free Fly, and Corse Lock that we had on the original Mavic Air! I loved doing shots with these.. and now that the Air 2 doesn’t have these features unless it’s a hyper Lapse really bums me out! And honestly I see myself using my original just as much as il be using my new Air 2!
torotaxi1 It’s definitely a little bigger but I find it still fits comfortably into my backpack along with 5 batteries. That being said.. I was also very disappointed that it didn’t come with a nice hard box case for the drone like the original. It has the bag and it’s lovely.. but no hard case?? This was a bummer to me especially putting it away in the bag because the props get caught up in the mesh material! I still really like it.. but I’m being really real here and honest. I’m definitely a little disappointed.. as I really feel the original air is a more solid little drone apart from the terrible signal issues we have with it!

Thanks for asking. I wanted to cover that, but then on the last few days i was flying, it was nicely windy , not crazy wind. So, either machines flew very well. Mavic Air 1 got the wind warning signal once, but that was it. Mavic Air 2 got zero wind signal for the last few days i flew.. (so, maybe stronger in wind?!?)

Please help, my Mavic Air2 video caputres are still choppy despite that I'm recording on internal memory, Im applying the 180 rule using filters, I refreshed the firmware and did the calibrations. I also disabled saving cache, I tried both H.264 and H.265. My drone was good in the beginning, I just bought it 1 year ago with no crashes. It's driving me crazy to see the poor videos. Please help and share some advice

How do you find the size of the MA2 compared to the MA1? Will it make much difference when you are backpacking or hiking?

All Quickshots are up to 4k with 1.1.2 in Android and 1.1.3 in IOS with the last firmware
