If you put on a mask and take a snorkel you can see plenty and there are sharks too. I used to swim out past the pier until the lifeguards blew their whistle at me and then I would body surf back to shore and the worst is when there are jellyfish out thee or sea lice which we were told was jelly fish eggs, but others argued it was something else. Overall though I will take ocean over lake any day, but a pool is where you can really relax and not worry lol.

We drove from upstate SC to Pensacola, Florida one time for my ex husband's grandfather's 80th Birthday. It was a surprise party, so we had to stay at a hotel when we got there. It was the most disgusting hotel room I've ever been in!! The carpet was wet from the shower, my son pulled the bedspread back and there was blood on it!! The side of the bed I slept on faced a corner and it reeked like pee!! It was horrible, longest night of my life!!!
