  • A new video AND we're continuing the Nostalgia Time series! How is it possible?
Today, we're revisiting Lost Eden, a point-and-click-style adventure game from 1995. Lost Eden was developed by Cryo and released by Virgin Interactive and is about Adam of Mo, who lives in a world in which humans and dinosaurs coexist. Oh, and dinosaurs can talk apparently.

The most impressive was the music. Even now, talking to people knowing the game they're not sure anymore how the story went. But they all know the music!
So I think it's important to name the composer, since he was one of the first to compose real music for video games. (After the beeps and bleeps we did hear up to then.)
I like to raise my glas to Stéphane Picq! 🍷👍

yea the best thing was the music. The second best thing was the name of the BBEG: MORKUS REX (And i still remember that name, And the voice, from my childhood. So yea)

Thanks to the modern tools available in 2024, enlarged stereo field, clearer sounds and punchy dynamics, expanded spectrum with crispy high-pitched and mellow basses, makes the sound really better in comparison to the 1997 version. This version pulls you in a higher sound experience!

Thr gameplay was not much, but I still remember playing the game especially the music, the atmosphere, and the setting. This game should be remade (or make new one with this as inspiration), but change the genre to probably an RPG. Imagine Mass Effect set in prehistoric age.

I hope not. There is something quite strange going on in the games industry with regards racial and gender ideology and I suspect the game would come out less that what it deserves these days. Let's just appreciate this game as it is: Unique, interesting and enjoyable.

Looks interesting. Mostly like games by Cryo. Just a shame the 3DO version wasn't released in Europe. Bit strange, as the game was made by a French company.

The visuals and audio are top notch but once you leave The Citadel of Mo, the gameplay loop feels very monotonous.
Also no mention of The King of Mo straight up saying "fucking" in the audio?
