    What beautiful craftsmanship! This is gorgeous, it really demonstrates heart and soul that must have gone into it. It gives an appreciation to how difficult things were to build back then, very informative as well. I'll gladly pass this around.

    Trajan was probably the greatest leader of all time. A great general, leader, and benefactor for the Roman people. The Roman empire at the time was probably the closest one could ever get to a utopia in ancient times.

    Traian (Trajan) concurred the Dacia but the Dacians weren't wiped from the face of Europe !!! The geto-dacians are the ancestors of the current Romanian people, from Romania!

    • @gestandrojdier
      @gestandrojdier 6 лет назад +3

      he conquered all of Decebal's Dacia, the free dacians presence is overexagerated . Stop watching Daniel Roxin , Romanians are the descendants of Romanized Dacians and colonists and to a lesser extent slavs and cumans

    • @gilgameshthekingofweebs5924
      @gilgameshthekingofweebs5924 5 лет назад

      He almost wiped the Dacians. The key word being "almost". The chronicles from the time even tell how Dacia was almost out of men after the wars with the romans and how the romans brought settlers to raise the population.

    • @gestandrojdier
      @gestandrojdier 4 года назад

      @Mr. King actually as a matter of fact the communists were the ones to exalt this dacomania and protocronism

    • @mickael1277
      @mickael1277 Год назад

      @@gestandrojdier ,we have chat GPT with actual data now that says the following:"Genetic studies have provided some insights into the genetic makeup of modern Romanians and their potential connections to ancient populations. Studies have shown that modern-day Romanians, like most European populations, have a complex genetic heritage influenced by multiple migrations and interactions throughout history.
      One notable genetic study published in 2019 analyzed the genomes of ancient individuals from the Dacian period and compared them to various modern populations, including Romanians. The study found that modern Romanians had genetic continuity with the ancient Dacians, indicating a significant ancestral link between the two populations. However, it's important to note that this study represents just one piece of the puzzle and that further research is needed to gain a more comprehensive understanding." Dacia was not conquered entirely because in those times it was a close to impossible feat, being that retreating in the Carpathian Mountains is such an advantage when being attacked, forcing your enemies to come from below and advance hard trough a terrain where numbers is not an advantage anymore. About 35% of Dacia was conquered.
      chatGPT(A.I) which only states facts from data it has, also says the following, note how it says "conquered region" and other facts:
      "It's important to note that while the Romans established political control over Dacia, the process of Romanization and integration with the local population took time. The conquered region retained a distinct cultural and linguistic identity, and elements of Dacian culture and traditions persisted even after Roman rule.
      The Roman conquest of Dacia had significant historical and cultural implications, shaping the development of the region and influencing the subsequent populations and civilizations that emerged in the area."
      To close, it is very easy and at hand to be mean on the internet and insult someone's history by stating ignorant comments that looks like facts. Romanians are both Romans and Dacians, but they are more Dacians than they are Romanian.

    ...Except...the text of this documentary contains stupidities as big as its writer is, because the Dacians weren't ever wiped out of the surface of the Earth since only 1/6 of the Dacian territory was militarily conquered by Romans, mainly up to where the most of gold and salt mines were !!! In such way, the vast majority of Dacian territory, the remaining 5/6, which was never conquered by the Roman Empire, was inhabited by the Free Dacians, which were a permanent and continuous source of actions against the Roman occupants, with the sole purpose of freeing the whole Dacia from under the Roman occupation ! This way, Dacia, which was the last province annexed to Roman Empire (106 A.D.), became the first Roman province to be abandoned by the Roman Empire (271 A.D.) after only 165 years of Roman administration, an unprecedented fact in the entire history of the Roman Empire !!!
