When you have an explosive weapon like ZB1, you don’t park him in one position; you move him around, forcing DCs to account for him in multiple ways. That’s additional practice time and focus spent on “Where’s ZB1?” Remember USC vs. Texas, when USC needed a short yardage first down to potentially win the game. They lined up with LinDale White alone in the backfield, and there was no Reggie Bush anywhere to worry about. Texas knew LinDale was getting the ball and stopped him. The lack of a Bush threat may have cost them the National Championship. ZB1 is a threat at any position.✌️

The only thing I disagree with, but we will see, is I don’t think the Meyer and Shaw break the 2 deep. I think Pepe starts against LSU, and safety room is just too deep for Shaw to be in the mix. I think Beavers will play over Shaw against LSU. We need beef in the middle and Pepe though inexperienced is a full grown man. Safeties will also need to come up in run defense and a Branch and Beavers combo is exactly what we need for that.
Love the video! If this is a depth chart just for just game 1, I would say DE Fountain is reportedly on the Scout Team, so Devan Thompkins and Solo will probably see time over him. Plus I personally would put Anthony Beavers over Bryson Shaw at any Safety spot. Otherwise, you’ve done a great job. Fight On! Beat the Tigers! ✌️
Fountain will have his moment; experience is called for in this first game. Utah will probably see some Fountain.

Lynch is not as competent with short angles. Pretty good at long FGs. This creates more options. I am wondering about Robles on KOs. He has a howitzer leg and is super fast for a smallish guy, making him a good safety valve.

He was the best player on the defense against the best teams that Wyoming played. He was unstoppable against Texas and Oklahoma State so it wasn’t because he sucked. He clearly didn’t get along with the coaches there

Shelby should start over Lucas. Every game i watched Lucas didnt make impact plays while Shelby did
He was in the wrong defense and played at 45 pounds lighter last year. This year will be different for him in this defense and playing at his best weight
