Mesmerizing; helped by the choice of music. Some people won't have the patience for the long drive in, but definitely gives a clear sense of the beauty and remoteness of much of the Northwest wilderness. The quick cut off when pulling into Windy ridge viewpoint was a bit of a letdown. Even if it's just pulling into the parking lot, parking and getting out to face the mountain.
It was a mesmerizing experience. 😊 I understand your point about having cut the footage when entering the parking lot. The rest of the ridge still blocked part of the view of the mountain, even from the higher viewpoint which you can access by climbing steps from the parking lot. 😌 This is why I inserted the photo to provide a closer, but unobstructed view. Being that close to a mountain I was always fascinated with, and knowing its violent history, is beyond words to describe.
A bit of extra info: Winnipeg, Canada, where I live is geographically over 1,150 miles (1,800 kilometers) east northeast of Mt. St. Helens. My parents described 0.4 inches (1 cm) of ash falling over this city, and there were the most vivid red and orange sunsets for a week.
