Back when you had to actually hangout with your friends to play. Nothing beat that atmosphere.
Spot on man. I didn't know jack about this game and one of my mates kept yapping on on how amazing No Mercy was. Some weeks went by and we got it. Spent a lot of evenings together playing this.
Man this game brings back so many good memories. Me and my friends would play this for hours after school in the winter. I remember a popular move was to get your opponent on the commentary table and hit your special on them, or reaching into the crowd to be granted a barb wired bat, knocking your friends character unconscious with a chair. Good times

used to love how devastating the moves felt. tko finishers were my favorite in this.the kicking combination has been my finisher for twenty years now.
Loved this game. Played countless hours. Blockbuster days were the jam.

By far, the greatest wresting game of all time. Some people nag about the graphics being too boxy, or cartoony, or unrealistic but I didnt mind it at all. I actually like the graphics. The gameplay, controls, and CAW feature are so magnificent that the not so perfect graphics meant nothing to me. This game came out at the end of 2000. Its almost flawless. My friends and I played this game so much we actually wore it out and had to buy a new one. Some nights after partying I would come home still really faded and sit up til 3am creating all the real wrestlers who were not in the game thanks to great CAW feature. It had everyones finishers and costumes and even their taunts. And it even lets you create factions and cliqs like NWO, 4 Horsement, DX, the Flock and the Brood. The CAW is so amazing that I was able to change the characters I could care less about like Rikishi, Too Cool, Godfather, Blackman, Taz, Mable, Lawler, Mark Henry and some other shitty guys and change their looks and costumes and I made the great wrestlers from the 80s and 90s who were not in the game. Genius game.
The only problem was not having a better entrance music selection

This brings back soooo many memories. Me and my brother would always sneak and play this late night. We enjoyed creating our own wrestler. Those were some fun times

The more realistic this games get the crappier they get.. the older games have more fluid animations.. should be the other way around! All they care nowadays is graphics.

I’m so annoyed that no game will ever be able to properly mimic this games gameplay.
Like all they gotta do is copy this 20 year old game and clean it up. Make it smoother, faster, improve the graphics, add some more features or whatever.
It doesn’t seem like it should be that hard for developers but apparently it’s impossible to figure out. The AEW game is such a letdown especially after they cited this game as inspiration.

AKI's game engine powered WWF No Mercy, WCW/nWo Revenge, Wrestlemania 2000, Def Jam: Vendetta and Def Jam: Fight for NY. Those games were great.

THQ always did Bulldog wrong giving most of the other wrestlers their finisher with their own design but Bulldog's running powerslam was just the regular in-game one.

how do you do turnbuckle finishers, top rope finishers and irish whip finishers, and throw your opponent out of the ring or into the wall or cage? *I never understood how to do it*
Don’t think you can
Turnbuckle...send em into turnbuckle so they stay there...have your special bar flashing...strong grapple, like hold the grapple button...wiggle joystick. Off the top rope...opponent laying...special flashing...run to turnbuckle...just let go. Standing turnbuckle...have standing opponent...do the same. In the cage...grab opponent...think its left c button to smash their face into the cage wall.
Irish whip finisher is...special flashing...Irish whip opponent...then when opponent returns...wiggle joystick.
Had a hard time doing the peoples elbow

How the hell did Mankind get the mandible claw on Kane, lol?!?!?! I remember every wrestler had a couple of alternate outfits, so did the Undertaker have a deadman version in No Mercy? It's kind of lame that his default is the American badass, that should have been his alternative. Is there a way to pull of the tombstone with Taker in his American badass form? When it's was Takers turn on the video he did the last ride, was that his only finisher or was there a way to do the tombstone?
SinCity Sinner At the time of No Mercy's release, the American Badass was his current gimmick. I don't think he has the deadman gimmick in this version as far as I know.

My friend John and I could never beat my friend Eddie and his little brother, they had the Dudley brothers and I had the Rock and John had Stone Cole tag team ladder match. Never could beat them! Matches would go for over an hour sometimes

como hago el finisher? cual botón del control tengo que presionar?
cuando tu barra de stamina se llene solo presiona el boton A y luego la palanca osea con las que haces las burlas en algunos luchadores el movimiento de la palanca puede variar por ejemplo jeff hardy el twist to face presionas A y luego palanca arriba y para hacer su finisher el swanton bomb solomante tienes que correr a subirte al poste nada mas el solo hara el finisher al igual que edie guerrero

The Lion Tamer turned to the Walls of Jericho. The Boston Crab is a generic submission lots of wrestlers do. So the developers of No Mercy felt that the real Walls of Jericho should be in the game. Which is a good thing

Who wudda knew the best wrestling game 😂I gave my homework the finger so many times because of this game at that time😂 I gave my homework every wrestlers finisher at that time😂every wrestling move 😂known to man 😂 I remember handling my homework the right way😂😂😂 then I'll come back to school everybody else on their next assignment I'm still on my old assignment😂 then I end up in LLLD😂😂😂 LD looked different I didn't know that you could still come out and party in your regular classes I said I looove LLLD😂😂😂
