@Robutzi For Ayla, S rank and no signature weap is definitely missing out on hella lots of dmg. Her S rank already let her buff 10%ice dmg (for Luna it will be Nihil) and 10%atk to any member when any switching occur tho(doesnt need switching from ayla, any switch from anyone will work). Her QTE also buff 10% more ice dmg(again for Luna it convert to Nihil due to her class passive). If u have Ayla sig, she will buff 20% on QTE instead so 10% more. So Ayla S rank already a good support for Luna even without sig weap, if i have it even bettter then if u have amplifer resonance on the sig weap too then even better (does not recommend sacrificing anything for weap reso tho, just get lucky to receive multi rrom pulling, farm from Guild expedition - this patch has one soon - and farm from Norman Revival Plan, also can exchange with Vouchers aside from just using Vouchers for character shards). But if u want her to do decent dps, u need SS rank and signature weap.
@runoncortisol I can only afford SS for now should I go for her? My dps on ice team is Lucia Ice element, Ayla kinda my second dps. And wanshi. So that's 2 S rank on ice team meanwhile my lightning which only has one S (CW) and A ranks suppt and tank perform 10x a lot better on wz 😕
@Robutzi SS ayla is free from Dorm dispatch shop, dont spend skulls on her. Free 50 shards, just do Dorm dispatch - just press quick assign for all missions and do all missions daily.

Couse I use her as dps. 5k BP but she deals less damage. No sign though.
