Alabama didn't just get better defensively with Big Cliff. They added long wings from the portal and as incoming freshmen. They are going to be much deeper than they were last year and have a rim protector in the back, so they can pick up further out on the floor and be much more aggressive to create turnovers and push the pace of play, which helps the offense. Nelson won't have to play out of position at the 5 because they have a 6'11" freshman coming in to back up Cliff. If a couple of the incoming freshmen are ready to contribute, they're going to be 10 deep. Their defense was so poor for most of last season that I think people have forgotten that the first really good team Oats had at Alabama with Herb Jones and John Petty was a very good defensive team. Mark Sears said part of the reason he's coming back is to show the NBA he can be a dog defensively. They're also going to have more good 3 point shooters to spread the floor offensively than they did last season. They will have 5 fifth year seniors and one fourth year senior on the roster who will all be in the rotation.
Big Cliff should get 10-12 points a game for Alabama just running the floor and getting putbacks and lob dunks. They don't have to ever run a play for him. He can do what Lively and Gaffords are doing for the Dallas Mavs right now, dive to the basket when his man leaves him to help on a driver.
I wish Sears would’ve stayed in the draft. Now we have too many guards. He might end up costing us the development of our younger guys who have bigger upsides. Plus he’s a liability defensively.

@@G-ov1jz Alabama's starting 5 is probably going to be all super seniors. Alabama has the #2 recruiting class coming in. Alabama added one of the best defensive players in the country. Alabama saved the career of someone wasting talent at Auburn.

Pre-season #1 or not aside, as a life-long Bama fan, I have never been more ready for an Alabama basketball season!
MARK SEARS RETURNING TO ALABAMA IS GREAT FOR CBB 🏀 .. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN LAST SEASON'S SEC PLAYER OF THE YEAR 🏆 ..

I absolutely agree Aiden Holloway development might cause him because Holloway probably came to Alabama to be a starter and now he back on the bench
@@Steve-el1el yep I got Aiden Holloway starting with Sears, i think eventually derrion reid will start too.

Auburn returning a better roster
Yale
Lmaooo nah not at all bruh 😂😂
Roster is ass. 😂
Lol
Auburn returning Broome, Cardwell, Mazara and added better gaurds to a team that won 27 games by double figures and SECT
Bruce needs to prove he can win in March. He has struggled in tourney since Final 4 run.
That's great, but that's nowhere close to what Bama has.
