There are 2 types of Balut: white Balut and black Balut. White Balut is easy to eat because the embryo is covered with white coating and the duck is not yet formed and visible, bec it is still in fetus form.

I doubt that usually it takes 24-31. But i agree with you on the second part, the 21 days actually tastes much better. But you gotta start off somewhere I started off eating only the yolk and giving my parents the duck part to now eating 3-5 eggs in one sitting 🤙🏻😂
Ahhh ok👍That’s what our tour guide said. Start off with just the soup, then the yolk and lastly the duck. My husband said when he was little he would eat them as snacks all the time in Pampanga.lol. Are you from Manila?🇵🇭
husband speaking age 80 2 Oct 23 745 pm I think this is my 4th Mon Duty tonight. I got through 19 min. of this great video and quit. The food ( for me was terrible ) and no way on earth I would eat any of it. I give the kids 3 " A's " for even taking a bite. When I first went to the PH with my new wife, we were invited out to many family's homes for a meal. 'Flida said I should eat what ever is there, I say NO, it has to stay down. It may be only in the mind but my mind is not used to anything inside any animal. That stuff should be buried. If I don't know what it is, I will not, eat it. In our early years of marriage, mom would try to sneak something on me. One time a piece of steak ??, I look at it, cut a piece, ( it cut like butter ) I take a small bite, mom is just looking at me. I know something is not right. I said what is it, " COW TONGUE " that was it, no more. For our Native American Indians, after a buffalo hunt, eating raw cow tongue was a real treat. This video was really good, it is the food I can't stomach, no pun intended. Next video please
Thank you so much for watching another one of our videos! You are too kind! I think you have to be very adventurous to try street food anywhere in the world.lol. We’ve been learning to try anything and everything as we’ve been traveling the world for 4 years now. So I was very proud of the kids for trying the street food too😜I like your rule “If you don’t know what it is, you’re not going to eat it.”👍
a lottle bit trivia for something a Filipino especially the foreigner might confused, The Big Balls which is the Duck Egg is what Filipino called KWEK-KWEK and the small balls which is the quail egg what you called a TOKNENENG
Thank you my friend! I’m so embarrassed. I said it wrong in the last 2 vlogs but I have definitely corrected myself🙈I appreciate you helping me learn☺️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
When i was a child i also dont like isaw -isaw ears pig etc. cause looks disgusting . But when i am grew older i really love those But i still dont like balut 😹
Jst a friendly reminder to any vlogger feat. Flips streetfood, Dont force oneself to eat jst for the sake of creating content. Gnawing it but with faces as wanting to puke really offending. Fact is those street foods proven edible for so long time already.
Be careful of making balut eating a challenge . Some people get an indigestion after eating it. Also the isaw .. and other street foods.. what might have been a prank may end you in the hospital..
Did you see how many places we ate before the balut?🤣We ate at 7 different places and the balut lady was at the end🙈 we didn’t even include the dessert part at Pan de Manila🤣🤣
Traditionally, Puto is partnered with Dinuguan. But, inasmuch as Puto is rice cake and Sisig is pork's face anyway, the two can pass off together -- than having Sisig all by itself (meaning no rice).
@@MomDuty Actually, I tried it too before. It is similar to the taste of putopao(like siopao but puto instead of sipao dough) and puto is made out of rice so it goes well to some savory dishes too. After all, every individual has their own preferences and tastes.

Thank you my friend!🫶🇵🇭What a great idea!
If Mom is Latina, Pichi Pichi is Manioc in Central and South America.
I tried Pichi Pichi on our street food tour in Mandaluyong. We stopped by Don Benito’s and ordered a whole box!lol I had no idea how good cheese would taste on this delicious dessert. Sooooo good!🤤I LOVED IT!👌👌👌👌
I couldn’t eat those Isaw Isaw myself !
Haha. Really?! So funny. Kids surprisingly liked isaw🤭
That is great, taste test for the kids of street foods and I heard that your wife is a vegetarian.
Yes! I’m a vegetarian🙋♀️ I was bummed I couldn’t try much of the street food but it’s ok. The kids had fun!lol.
21 days for egg to hatch hahaha.... I love eating 20 to 21 days... But now a days only 14, 16 to 18 days...
Ok so you’ve tried balut before?
I doubt that usually it takes 24-31. But i agree with you on the second part, the 21 days actually tastes much better. But you gotta start off somewhere I started off eating only the yolk and giving my parents the duck part to now eating 3-5 eggs in one sitting 🤙🏻😂
Ahhh ok👍That’s what our tour guide said. Start off with just the soup, then the yolk and lastly the duck. My husband said when he was little he would eat them as snacks all the time in Pampanga.lol. Are you from Manila?🇵🇭
♥️♥️♥️😭
Little girl scare of balut 😂😱
I know right?🙈
I'm quite concerned about the way they keep moving around while holding the sticks tho.
They really enjoyed trying Manila street food🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
@@MomDuty And they wouldn't enjoy having their throats or eyes impaled with those sticks. Just saying
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol! Good times.lol🇵🇭
husband speaking age 80 2 Oct 23 745 pm I think this is my 4th Mon Duty tonight. I got through 19 min. of this great
video and quit. The food ( for me was terrible ) and no way on earth I would eat any of it. I give the kids 3 " A's " for even
taking a bite. When I first went to the PH with my new wife, we were invited out to many family's homes for a meal. 'Flida said
I should eat what ever is there, I say NO, it has to stay down. It may be only in the mind but my mind is not used to anything inside
any animal. That stuff should be buried. If I don't know what it is, I will not, eat it. In our early years of marriage, mom would try
to sneak something on me. One time a piece of steak ??, I look at it, cut a piece, ( it cut like butter ) I take a small bite, mom is just
looking at me. I know something is not right. I said what is it, " COW TONGUE " that was it, no more. For our Native American
Indians, after a buffalo hunt, eating raw cow tongue was a real treat. This video was really good, it is the food I can't stomach,
no pun intended. Next video please
Thank you so much for watching another one of our videos! You are too kind! I think you have to be very adventurous to try street food anywhere in the world.lol. We’ve been learning to try anything and everything as we’ve been traveling the world for 4 years now. So I was very proud of the kids for trying the street food too😜I like your rule “If you don’t know what it is, you’re not going to eat it.”👍
Hehehehe
Can’t believe these kids🤦♀️🤣
😋😋😋👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽💙🇵🇭
Thanks for the love Frankie!!🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
🍺!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Let’s go Philippines!🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
If you will eat these tasty rich food in a regular basis you will definitely never get old! ( because you will get sick and will die young )
Haha…then I need to eat some🤪💃👏
Most of those foods I wouldn't try especially the intestines because of what goes through it.
Yikes🙈Now that you say it that way.lol. Kids like the chicken isaw though🤷♀️🤣
💞☺
Balut is healthier and cleaner than fried Chicken Nuggets and Burger. I kid you not.
No way😲Well now that you mention it, it’s not fried or greasy🤷♀️
🥰🥰🇵🇭
Thanks for the love Edgar!!!🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
♥️♥️♥️♥️
😁😁😁
Let’s go Philippines!🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
a lottle bit trivia for something a Filipino especially the foreigner might confused, The Big Balls which is the Duck Egg is what Filipino called KWEK-KWEK and the small balls which is the quail egg what you called a TOKNENENG
Oooooh so we have it wrong🙈We thought kwek kwek were quail eggs🙈
@@MomDuty yes TOKNENENG os Quail eggs and KWEK-KWEK is Duck egg hehehe
Should have done pag pag.
I looked that up and NOOO THANK YOU🙊🙈 I didn’t realize it was actually real.
One recommendation is to pronounce SISIG as see-seeg not seeg-seeg.
But when i am grew older i really love those
But i still dont like balut 😹
Haha. It’s funny how we all start like that. Not liking something but then as we get older we enjoy eating it☺️🤪
Cool emoji!!!🤩🤩🤩
❤️❤️❤️😀
Jst a friendly reminder to any vlogger feat. Flips streetfood, Dont force oneself to eat jst for the sake of creating content. Gnawing it but with faces as wanting to puke really offending. Fact is those street foods proven edible for so long time already.
Completely understandable. Thank you for the friendly reminder. We want to be honest when trying new foods but definitely not rude.
Be careful of making balut eating a challenge . Some people get an indigestion after eating it. Also the isaw .. and other street foods.. what might have been a prank may end you in the hospital..
Thanks for caring. Sweet of you🥹
Bb boy looks like sandro marcos hehe
Haha. I just looked him up and he does!🤪😲
You said it is delicous but you didn't finish your balut.. 🤤
Did you see how many places we ate before the balut?🤣We ate at 7 different places and the balut lady was at the end🙈 we didn’t even include the dessert part at Pan de Manila🤣🤣
Maarteng mga bata
Thank you Alexander☺️Love my babies💯
Have Boodle fight with the ABC family
Omg you read our mind! We were supposed to go last time but it was raining too hard and the noodle fight restaurant was outside.
FYI. Puto wasn't pair with Sisig. It's DINUGUAN.
That's why I said it's not a Filipino thing, it's a kuya Jian thing. I like to pair puto with sisig coz I think they go well together :)
They did go well together. Surprisingly, Knox actually liked the sisig better with puto. Good job Jian👌😉
Ahhh that totally makes sense! No wonder my son like it together😜How do you eat puto? By itself or with a savory dish?
Real blind?
No, they’re not really blind. They just didn’t know what they were eating when we did a Manila street food tour.
Ikr 😊
Not putting Hot/Crazy/Nightmare/Exotic Mom in the thumbnail is a big mistake
Hello El Terrifico! 👋 🤣😂😂😂😂
