      This video was hard. Attempting a patch from scratch with a voice over never turns out how you quite expect so really appreciate the feedback, thanks! If you want any advice I’d be happy to help.
      I started with a Loquelic mono synth as my palette build so check out my older videos. As things evolved and I wanted to start recording, I bought a Rackbrute 6U with an Expert Sleepers ES9 allowing 14 channels into Ableton. It’s £500 but the ability to sidechain is worth its weight in gold, as is being able to adjust the mix and then master with Ozone. That workflow is how I get levels good for RUclips.

    both PNW and the quad vca (?) aren't in the case, so it's not really what you're getting out of just 62hp. more like 82hp..

      @@markbooth Thank you Mark. So basically, with a Palette 62, I am thinking of: Pam as clock/sequencer, Mimetic Digitalis as a mod source, Lapsus OS as attenuvertor, voice module (either Ataraxic or Basimilus, not sure yet...), WMD C4RBN as filter and javelin as VCA. What extra 1U module would I have to look at as I may sequence/clock from my Elektrons: MIDI 1U and some sort of stereo or mono out? Thanks again

    • @markbooth
      @markbooth  Год назад +1

      @@OlivierSarfati Line Out 1U and Midi 1U would give you what you want and is how I started. Also Steppy 1U is a great playable gate sequencer but you won’t need that if you are sequencing from external gear. I’ve done quite a lot of videos using the Noise Engineering modules and a lot of people use with Elektron gear but I don’t have any non modular. Good look with the set up and hope you can find the WMD modules now they are out of production. They do come up on eBay though.

    Great video, thanks! Starting from around 07:00 when you introduce the lead from Ataraxic I believe there is a ping pong on it. Is this coming from Mimeophon although on full dry? Or is this added outside the case? Or are my headphones tricking me? ;-)

    • @markbooth
      @markbooth  2 года назад +1

      Well spotted if you heard it. I usually add a 5% ping pong in Ableton adding a tiny bit of stereo width. Each channel goes into Ableton through the excellent Expert Sleepers ES9 with the baseline sidechained to the kick. There is also a very small amount of EQ with the master sent through Ozone to get levels right for RUclips.
