Absolutely thrilled to see a glowforge video. Thanks for the tips! In your opinion, would it not work for me to continue using Photoshop mockups with my glowforge cut earrings on my crafted3D Etsy? Or is some amount of photoshopping ok? I still make everything but struggle with showing the products.
Adam all digital products, I find that cut files that require a physical product to be taking a photo of, customers want to see how it would look like if they buy the file. With any other product you can just do a flat edit on like a T-shirt for example
I’ve done lots of research into glowforge since seeing your videos but it’s not available in UK.. any suggestions on a model/make of laser for over here..?
I’m not too sure about a specific brand in that price range but you would need a CO2 laser with capability to cut wood which I believe is 50W. Best of luck
You’ve clearly done well in your own business but I feel like a lot of your ideas are actually just taking other peoples ideas, basically go on Etsy look at what’s selling and copy that? Imagine if people did that to you? Personally I think it’s better to do something that means something to you, or sell Christmas things people buy anyway, rather then jumping on other peoples success. Probably sounds like I’m more annoyed then I am, but I’ve watched a few of ya videos and this is a trend. Feedback not hate x it’s fine to smell what sells but maybe in broader scale rather then exact ideas from particular shops
I get your point, I don’t suggest recreating the same product, but use the keywords that people are searching for. It’s like if you sell a T shirt, your selling the same product, the t shirt, but hopefully your adding your own creativity. People are looking for personalized tree skirts, make your own version and tap in to the search volume.
@@thetalkshop yeah I know sorry if it sounded like a dig but I’ve seen Etsy really become a copy shop site and it’s well annoying ! I don’t even sell there anymore but I do shop there 😂
@@BexEtcArt oh for sure there are a lot of shops that copy me to the penny lol. But I think using the product that is searched for to introduce your creativity is a good strategy. But I didn’t feel like you where rude at all:)
Awesome video, if people jump on some of these they can easily do some serious volume this Christmas!
Hey thank you! Yes that is very true
Great value add intro, I subscribed 43 second in.

Great video as ever. Got one question with the wood products on what would sell better solid wood or a 3mm or 6mm Baltic birch plywood for ornaments?
Thank you so much for the kind words, i’m not too sure on the details, but I would expect the customers not wanting an ornament that is too heavy
If you opened up a new etsy shop tomorrow selling products like these, how long do you think it would be before you started to see some sales?
Some times in 2 days some times much later, it just depends
