One thing I would like to note is that I used the Splatoon timer in game and when you throw the autobomb it’s runs on 6 second timer. (this I found on my own personal research) So once it runs after you for about 6 seconds it will explode so as all ready stated in the video myth busted. Splashdown destroys bombs to avoid getting splatted as soon as the splashdown lands and Autobombs can only travel a set distance before they explode automatically.
Autobombs will explode after following an enemy. Because there is a time limit on an autobomb for five seconds if the autobomb doesnt explode by then it will just explode

Fishy, I think I may have an answer to the autobomb having the same radius as the splat bomb. I think this was maybe different possibly from any sub power up abilities. If that’s the case, it would probably have the same radius otherwise.
All the auto bomb does it can’t be destroyed it follows a target closest to it or in range if an enemy that isn’t targeted passes close to it it detonates and it can only follow the target for a certain distance before it self destructs its self
Actually in the inner agent 3 fight agent 3 uses autobombs and they actually explode in a certain amount of time if they didn’t explode near the player
