I got a 96 when I took mine, the test is not hard at all! Just make sure you brush up on math. I joined the Air Force and did my time, it was one of the best decisions of my life.
Carguy Ryder Practice man! Buy the Asvab For Dummies book or use the Asvab Mastery App. I used both and I went from a 50 to an 88. Definitely focus on math and arithmetic reasoning the only way to get better is by practicing questions and getting use to the formulas they use. I didn’t take high school serious so I really had to study. You can do it bro! I got an SWOE contract for the Air Force looking forward to a new adventure. Let me know if you got anymore questions!

@@ghoulishpugold2348 Just make sure you study, I actually bought a study guide and took about 4 weeks of nothing but studying, I also made sure I study math and electronics. Good luck just keep it up you'll get there.

I took the ASVAB back in 2019 and got a 16 and I retook it today and got a 32, I’m so happy

Clearly Gigi you were very detailed with what to focus on and explaining that the GT score opens doors for you. I took my picat today, didn’t get to see my score cause apparently my recruiters “forgot” about me in the back waiting for them to tell me what I scored. So I ended up leaving. I will find out tomorrow what I scored. Hopefully all the hours and days of studying paid off. Thank you again Gigi :) Best of luck for you in the military! Hope to see more content from you.

Clearly Gigi my recruiter said I could but it might be better to just study since its by one point instead of hoping they’ll waiver me for one point. So yeah at least its by one point. Of course its arithmetic reasoning 😤. Thank you! Ill update whenever I take my asvab at meps.

Israel Vasquez Really? That’s wild. I had a bad homeschool experience so I’ve really had to teach myself a lot. The good thing is, there are plenty of resources online. Just be patient with yourself and find a way to learn that works for you!
Dak Nat Baby steps. Learn how to multiply by hand. Learn long division. And the rest will fall into place.

Heyyyy I took mine today and they were a few tough math questions but study up on basic percentages, ratios, fraction division, area and perimeter (square, rectangle and triangle). It wasn't hard but I got a 62 because I got an earache and couldn't focus that much. You'll do great!

@@Bilbus7 hey, there's a difference with things being hard and you not scoring high. Most of the questions that came on tests were stuff that I knew from years ago but I didn't study or recap on them so I got them wrong. Also I'm happy with my 62 because i didn't score just score above the minimum and all the navy personnel at MEPS were telling me it's a good score. I just would've like to study a bit more because I've been out of school a while. Those questions were not hard.

Brah I really studied hard on the trades felt confident on them, and then I got to the math, and I was like Ik I did good in school, but really didn’t pay attention on how each tool was used to workout the problem, and something about math, and the other shit that just gets me pissed off the rest of the day.

I failed the practice test the first time i had a meeting with recruiter. I was devastated because I was waiting so long to join and failed . The recruiter said she’ll talk to me once I’ve studied and that I couldn’t sign anything . AIRFORCE DOES NOT PLAY . so I’m trying to study as much as I can !
Karly B Hey Karly, a practice test should have been just a practice test- doesn’t account for anything. I’m assuming that maybe you did far too poorly that your recruiter wants you to push for more. You’re right, AirForce does NOT play! Keep on studying and let me know how your final ASVAB results go 😊
I failed the asvab sooo bad that i got permanently Disqualified.......never payed attention in math class in HS. I regret it lol
I paid attention, but almost 60% of what I was taught never made sense. I'd use the exact same notes and formula thinking I got the right answer, but I'd be off by a light-year or it'd be my answers counterpart especially with graphing equations. I'm almost 21 and still don't get it some of the time. I understand what I'm supposed to do, but when I apply the principle, I'm still wrong.
I finally passed my ASVAB thanks to Mr Clark who was has helped with with his tutoring.He has good tips and questions for everyone willing to join his group.I was recommended to him by a friend even though it took me time to trust in him but at the end I was happy for the good work.I want to take this opportunity to tell you all to join him and trust in him despite the process.Thanks to him I had 89AFQT.After five attempt unsuccessful I finally made it.
6:10 My Instructors were really nice on that aspect, they would not mind helping. However, they were not shutting the f up, pretty difficult to focus when you have 2 ppl giggling and laughing next to you while taking a really long test.
So i talked to my recluitor and he gave me the asvab pre-test and i got a decent score (not too good but not too bad) and he said i was ready to take the actual asvab, so i’m taking it in 2 weeks. I’m so scared because my weak spots are word knowledge and arysmethic (idk how to spell it) reasoning. English isn’t my first language so it makes it a little bit harder lol

Are all asvabs test the same for every branch? Like if you have to take it a second time will it be the same questions?
Jaysis Torres ASVAB is the same for every military branch. However, there are multiple ASVAB tests that the computer will generate a different version when you take it. So you basically won’t even have the same test as the person next to you. This is what I was told

I took the picat a couple weeks ago and went to meps to do a confirmation test but ended up taking the actual asvab and some of the questions were similar
Also scored a 76, feels good when you're able to choose any enlisted job in the army

@@ib3806 As I know of for the army u don't take a conformation test (your asvab score is your score), I know the confirmation asks similar questions to the asvab & uses word knowledge, paragraph comprehension, & math to determine your score (so I would only study those)
