He sounds like such a humble person, well grounded. His versatility as a singer and a musician is simply amazing. God gifted, and if there's anyone I like most after Mohd. Rafi Saab, its Sonu. Paka Sur with melody that hits the heart, not some very crazy high decibal notes just to prove a point.
What to say about this man, in the time of Arijit Singh.. he is still the best singer around. He is greatest bollywood singer ever along with mohd rafi.

It is a problem with bollywood industry that music is not given value like acting. Actors go and disrespect whoever musician they want and people also are mad for actors and not brilliant composers, lyricists and singers.
True. Actors are treated as gods here in India. But now it is changing. Singers ,composers are getting the recognition which they deserve. Though, lyricists are still not getting appreciation.

Sonu Nigam is undoubtedly great and really humble too. However I didn’t find that comment on specialised ghazal or classical singers as safe players in good taste. The singers like Jagjit Singh, Talat Mahmood and Mehdi Hassan were giants of music and they really went very deep in the kind of music they indulged in. You see, Ustad Bismillah Khan played just one instrument- Shehnai but how many Bollywood singers can match the status of this Bharat Ratna musician ? I believe that one artist should never run another artist down.
