Mark Driscoll was absolutely correct, not only in what he said, but also in how he pubically called out the spirit.
In Revelationg Jesus was upset because the church " tolerated"the spirit of Jezebelle. That is exactly what the leader of the conference was doing.

Spirit of Accusation, bitterness, fear, rejection, occultism, addiction, envy jealousy, studying them in detail and delivering those out of bondage

I never heard of Mark Driscoll before this situation, but he has all my respect thank God they’re still some men of God out there that has courage to stand up and preach the word without fear of men

If i take time away from my family to go to a conference that is supposed to help me reach the mindset of Christ but instead I get entertained next time I will just take my family to the circus and not look for that kind of entertainment at a church that is supposed to make this world better.

This happened at AA after the meeting. I was talking to a guy outside when this woman approached us. The guy got all goofy and ripped his shirt off and started bragging about his muscles. What? He didn't have any muscles to show off. I shook my head and walked away.
Later in a message he told me he was sent by God to teach people. I shook my head again.

Mandy, there are often immature people trying to prove themselves in ungodly ways. There are also weeds among the wheat. God said to leave them, or risk pulling out the wheat. The exception is when a person is deliberately evil and keeps sinning in the ecclesia. Paul says in 1Corinthians to cast out the evil man from amongst them. To decide which is relevant, the Holy Spirit's guidance is necessary.
This has nothing to do with the fact that men, claiming to be Christian sat through multiple performances of evil. A day later Driscoll a heretic apostate then called it out. Driscoll is known for grandiose performances so he can be boosted up. Lindell, also an apostate did the same thing. God says to separate yourself from this evil, not clap for the performance cause you don't want anyone to be uncomfortable. We make ourselves complisate when we do nothing. Hell is filled with those who do evil and see evil and say aww that's not so bad.
He apologized the next day for saying what he said and bent a knee to lindell. Hes just as much a coward as lindell.

It's gotten worse. The pastor doubled down and called Driscoll out and called him to repentance. He tried to justify the performer but the performer posted a video and what he stated wasn't what the pastor said.
I commended him till he apologized the next day. We should unapologetically speak the truth. Who do you fear man or God?

Prayer for John and Mark to heal their relationship in private and not all of this imperfect back and forth about Matthew 18 or about Jezebel. Any unclean deceiving demonic spirit can be a Jezebel spirit. I see something inappropriate and agree it should be called out but the division needs to be overcome with love and prayers and unity and graciousness and effective ACCURATE communication.
What's happening isn't going to restore a personal relationship between Driscoll and the Lindell's this way . They need a third party neutral arbiter.

Yes, it is confusing with all the different ideas concerning what happened. Some people said it was a man trying to impress a woman after the conference, some a stripper(!),:and various other gossiping.
People who are not there should not be encouraged to comment on what they know nothing about, and also avoid obvious gossip. It is sad to see the ignorance and sin amongst people who supposedly know their God and His ways. The pointing of fingers is evil and damaging, and almost always to be avoided. Specific sin should be denounced corporately, publically, because perpetrators will be judged as sinners, not as one of the redeemed, Hebrews 10:26-39. But individuals should only very rarely called out, if committing public sin, or abusive sin, or requiring to be separated from the community of believers.
I have no idea what this situation really was.

The problem I have is Mark did not stand his ground on what he believed to be wrong. He agreed to be out on stage with someone that did not receive that correction. In other words Mark copped out. If Mark really believed what he did was right he would’ve not been back on the stage.

These churches are lost. They don't teach the Bible you never hear them talk about repentance and forsaking the world in fact they look just like the world. Same music different lyrics, same clothes, same language, same entertainment, same character, the congregation comes to have their ears tickled and reject even the commandments of God stating they are no longer valid, that somehow God has given up and has relented giving all a pass to disobey and behave as they seem fit. Judgement is coming to those who claim to know God yet do not keep His law.

Driscroll didn’t kick anyone out, Lindell on the other hand…. Driscroll made and observation, spent an evening in prayer, spoke out against the very spirit he was there to speak on, and made a clear statement he was NOT there to attack the leadership of the Church. He didn’t have a problem with Lindell. A prideful Lindell stood up on stage, streamed on social media an entire sermon on how Lindell is right and Driscroll is wrong. Called to Mark to repent to the God of Lindell, and even instructed anyone that is a Christian to turn their back on Driscoll. He twisted scripture to justify his actions in doing so. We will all stand before the Lord one day and be judged on our lives, and when we do, will he say well done good and faithful servant? There is zero glory to God in this entire display.

From what I understand, Mark has gone through a season where he’s really humbled himself and repented of his ego and abrasive approaches. All things considered, I think he handled this situation with humility and with care for the body of Christ.
