@@Yerder123 there are three types of divorce. Faskh is one of them. Talaq Taliq is another one. In both of these, the husband doesn't have to pronounce the divorce before divorce takes place. Always pay attention in fiqh class. Please stop embarrassing your teacher in public.

Simple conversation can lead to better solutions. Sometimes people see being offered money as an insult. If you ever get the opportunity again, start with a simple salaam and then offer him to join you for lunch so you can have a natural discussion.
