So... my genshin Impact account was hacked.

- HI! Yeah, as the video title says...I was hacked. The attack happened right after my social accounts started spamming bitcoin ads and that was because of me connecting to my SCHOOL's public Wi-Fi. Yeah, it was a terrible idea (because apparently the net was hacked before and no one knew), I had to submit 2 forums in total; 1st one didn't have much information because that was when I formatted all my devices, the 2nd one I was able to give more detail.
After about 15 days, I was able to get my account back. Fortunately for me, the person who 'bought' my account from the Russian hacker (yeah apparently I was one of the few that were hacked by one) really liked my account and was kind enough to not scrap anything. Although, what they did in my account was weird because they just rearranged some things for my characters but left items alone and did farming for me, so I'm kind of grateful . On that note, they also got me 4 new characters; Candance, Coelli (I called her coal a lot), Dori C1 and Cyno In 20 pulls. I had a few primogems saved after their pull.
All of this sounds like really good news...But the one thing they did that can never be undone was C6 my Bennett, now I can't use him in any team I want anymore. I can't be salty because it could've been way worse, so again, thank you for sparing my sanity whoever you were :').

*As many other videos would tell you the wait time and process, it really depends on how much detailed information you gave them, the more detail you fill the forms with, the more quicker they will respond.

Congrats! I got my account back like 2 days ago and oh boy the party was a mess and they all had dull blades on and the world level was lowered cuse they didn't know how to build the characters even if the characters were built before i was hacked i managed to find their artifacts back

In the form, for retrieving the genshin account, it says to select the payment method for the top up. My credit card is a mastercard, what should i choose? worldpay, google play ..?
Whichever app/card you used for your first purchase, it should give you a date and name. But if you made a purchase before the "Hoyoverse" then the name would be different. Something like "Mihoyo *** Co" or whatever. (If you're F2P I think you can probably skip that part)

Yeah, If I were you I would stay away from any sort of public wifi, even if it's at a starbucks coffee shop.
My account also got hacked on 12 September and i am still waiting the first one got rejected because i accidently mistyped my gmail on the form but then they gave me another form i am gonna get the second form in 3 days so yeah i am also f2p so yeah
I'm so sorry that this happened to you too around the same time for me q_q. I'm starting to think that there was a massive security breach since it wasn't only me that was hacked around the same time as you. Hopefully they get back to you asap!
@@7n527 yeah the first thing that came to my mind was the Facebook data breech i use my dad's facebook account since Facebook is known for its crappy data security i will not be surprised
