    Each row is set individually. You winning the bottom row didn't effect the payout on the middle or top rows at all.

    Great video, I've been wanting to make something similar but I've always had trouble explaining exactly how the machine works. You did a great job at doing that! Although I don't think the entire machine is reset when a prize is won. Most other prize games like Barber Cut Lite, iCube and Winners Cube have multiple rigged "zones" that are all on separate payouts, but when a prize is won the payout rate is only reset for that specific zone. As for your explanation below, it could have been that the operator went into the machine and manually reset the middle row, or someone won something and the machine was quickly restocked with the same exact item. You could be correct because I have never won twice on the same day from an individual Key Master, but I feel like this would have been mentioned somewhere in the game's manual and I couldn't find anything.

      +Zack Christopher Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate the feed back. You have a really good point about the reset features on these things. What I am describing is honestly just what I have observed over the years on the machines I keep an eye on. I honestly could be wrong about how and when they reset but it seems to be what is playing out with the ones I watch. Maybe we can iron that part out together. Here are the things I have seen that have made me come to that conclusion. I have also never won twice out of the same machine without it having a few days to make its money back before it pays out again. That plays a big part in my theory. I have also been in a spot where the whole machine is ready and I could pick from them all but once I pick one, the rest of them will no longer let me win them. At that point I watch them and row by row, cheapest to most expensive, they become ready again. I think on some of the bigger machines they can spilt the machine down the middle so that it has two sections (a left side and right side) but with the same progression. How do the manuals describe it? I have not had a chance to get a hold of one yet. Any light you could shine on it will be appreciated. Thanks again for the comment.

    Thanks! Out of every video I've seen yours was the best to learn from. I don't really see where the key keeps on going upwards more though it must be very slight because I haven't been able to notice it.

    • @jasonbyrd-retronerd
      @jasonbyrd-retronerd  8 лет назад +1

      Thank you. It is a very slight and very fast move but once you see it the first time, you will be able to spot it from that point on much easier. Look really close when the button is released near the middle of the hole. When it is not ready It will move up in about the same amount of time it takes to move your hand off/away from the button. When it is ready the key will stop the exact moment the button is released. Thank you for watching!!

    • @jennye313
      @jennye313 8 лет назад

      So I just played again three times right now and it SEEMS like it is not moving upwards more when I release. I hit it twice on top and once on the bottom and I was way off when I hit the bottom lol! It was more than the 1/4 gap

    • @jasonbyrd-retronerd
      @jasonbyrd-retronerd  8 лет назад

      +Jenny Encarnacion That sounds like it's not ready. You were probably releasing the button perfectly in the 1/4 gap but then it was pushing you up and that is why you lost by hitting the top twice. When it is ready you won't have any issue getting the top of the key in that 1/4 gap. When it is ready to pay it is actually harder to lose by hitting the key on the top like you were today compared to hitting the top of the key a little low causing that gap I talk about between the top of the key and the top of the hole. It will almost always be just a little low when it's ready to pay. You did really good by paying attention like you did. Keep looking closely when you play and when it stops pushing you up and making you hit the top, I guarantee you will spot it. It usually just takes one time seeing it behave the way it will when it is ready in person to know exactly what you are looking for from then on out. When I won the first time and realized what it had done it was open season for me on those machines. lol.

      go to the 1:30 mark. This is the best example of what I mean when I say watch for the bottom of the key hitting, causing you to lose, but while leaving a 1/4" gap or less between the top of the key and the top of the hole. If you see anything like this then it is ready.

      I am thinking too that it's not ready. The prize I want has been there since at least November 2015! So long!

    The game you played, Prize Locker, is 100% skill, meaning you could have won any prize. KeyMaster is rigged but the one you were playing isn't if you look at the manual.

      That is awesome!! I am really glad to hear it, and extremely glad I could help you win it. Now that you have seen what it looks like when the machine is ready to payout, I can pretty much guarantee that this wont be your last win.

      +Jason Meade Is the payout rate the same for a claw game? Cause I have just recently won an Xbox One console when I went to the beach after 3 to 4 times playing that one claw game.

    I've seen people win this back to back

    • @jasonbyrd-retronerd
      @jasonbyrd-retronerd  8 лет назад

      You are right! I have since won twice from the same machine back to back but from different rows. The one factor about these machines that will ADMITTEDLY always be a little blurry for me is the reset functions because there are many ways it can be set on different size machines. I have since learned that the "entire machine reset"" usually only happens on small "mini" versions. On the rest of them it is just by the row, making it possible to win more than once but not on the same row. So the row in question resets after a win and will have to make its minimum again. The machine in the video resets back to zero after any win. That came from the vendors mouth and I tested it many times so this is the only one I am 100% positive on . The one thing that WILL ALWAYS be the same on ANY machine is how to spot when a prize is ready to be won, and that is what I am really trying to demonstrate in the video. The reset function can be done is several different ways depending on the machine but the key will always move up slightly when not ready. I am working on a new video that will explain this a little better. Thanks for watching!!

    • @jasonbyrd-retronerd

      +Karen Tavo Thank you for the comment. Basically the machine is rigged. It will not allow you to put the key in the spot it needs to be in for you to win unless the machine has made enough money. If you get anywhere close to the "win zone" before the machine has made enough money, it will simply drive the key up very slightly so that the top of the key snags the top of the key hole. It happens very fast and it is made to make it look like you were " oh so close" so that you will keep playing. The trick is to watch the key and if you are able to get close with out the machine slightly driving it up, then you know to keep playing. If you EVER see that the bottom of the key snags the bottom of the key hole and the top of the key has less than a 1/4 of an inch gap between it and the top of the key hole, its time to win and you should keep playing. The machine WILL NOT let you get that close before it makes the money it needs so if you see what I just described then its up to you at that point to get the key in the hole. I hope this helps. If not, let me know and I will try to explain it better. I am putting up a new video right now and It may help with a visual of what I am describing. Thanks again for watching.

    • @jasonbyrd-retronerd
      @jasonbyrd-retronerd  8 лет назад

      I am going through that right now. I won out of Stacker the other day and the tablet I won was broken. I have ran into it in the past also and I can say from experience that if a prize gets broken/does not work they will not help you out with it. They suck like that but luckily it is a very rare thing to get something broken. I will say that EVERY time I win an expensive tablet off a top row, and it goes to drop, every muscle in my body cringes in fear.. lol

  • @lucianoraar9095
    @lucianoraar9095 8 лет назад

    But if you win at the bodem row will only that row reset after a win or will the whole machine reset

    • @jasonbyrd-retronerd
      @jasonbyrd-retronerd  8 лет назад

      +Luciano Raar The whole machine will reset after any win. When they are rigged up this way the machine will only let one prize go before resetting. I got to see that play out first hand here recently. I had been watching a machine with a 3DS on top. When I first went to it the bottom row prizes were ready, a week later the middle was also ready. I decided to cross my fingers and hope the top prizes would pay out soon but when I went back someone had won a small, very cheap toy off the bottom row and at that point every single prize was no longer able to be won.

    • @ArcadeChristian
      @ArcadeChristian 5 лет назад +1

      That is incorrect. Only the bottom row resets

      Jason Byrd what if you try to let the key stop early and with it being rided wont it push up perfectly

    • @jasonbyrd-retronerd
      @jasonbyrd-retronerd  8 лет назад

      Very good question but unfortunately that does not work. The machine only interferes by pushing upward if/when you let go in the "win" zone BEFORE it has made its payout minimum. If you stop the key lower it does not push the key up because it has no need to interfere at that point. If you stop low it will just let the key hit low in order to stop the win. If the key hits in the zone when the machine is not ready is when the machine steps in and drives the key up but only when it has to in order to stop the win. Thanks for watching and if you have any other questions about it just let me know.
