Just a Hope to have a chance to own your home is sometimes all you need. After I watched the orientation it gave me that feeling. I get emails from Smud for years but this is the first time I got an email with this content about Habitat. I accept it as a sign from God not to loose hope. I pray everyday for a change. Maybe, just maybe this is the answer🙏

So if we only buy the house and not the land will habitat be able to take away our home and have everybody move out of the land in case it is bought out by bigger companies that want to own that land and throw the people out and pay his back for what we paid for that house?

I am homeless with 4 kids and all H4H said to me was "we give a hand up not a hand out," like I'm some sort of bum because I only get $770 a month from SSI and am disabled. They don't give a shit! They don't tell you that you'll have to meet the minimum income requirements of $30k a year and have to be "middle class" to even qualify. The truly poor?? Living in the back of our vehicles in the cold because we're not "rich enough" for a Habitat house!!!! Yet they act like they're god damn saints and do so much to help people fight poverty! What a joke!!!
