@ Well spotted! It'S an error. Somehow a non colorgraded piece of footage managed to hide on top of the actual part so it got itself a role in the video :D

I give it to you about sound design! That‘s the downside of drone that you don‘t have the original sound. I will definitely do some stuff where it includes original sound or good sound design :)

Wann ist das gefilmt worden ,vor kurzem?Ich wohne nicht weit von Nazaré,aber bis jetzt hatte ich nicht das Glueck die riesenwelle zu sehen
Das war am 12.11. Das Ding hier ist, dass es nicht diese "märchenhafte Riesenwelle" gibt, wie sie die meisten Besucher erwarten. Es gibt selten sehr sehr riesige, aber nie ist eine dieselbe. Das nicht all zu bekannte an diesem Spot ist, wie oft er funktioniert. Allerdings ist der Schnitt nie ansatzweise so groß wie die Wellen die man in den Nachrichten sieht. Trotzdem sind die durchschnittlichen Wellen ziemlich groß! Wenn man bedenkt dass in diesem Video hier keine über 7 Meter (geschätzt) liegt und sie trotzdem spektakulär sind, zeigt, dass man nicht die Rekordwellen mit 20 Meter und größer braucht :)
Es gibt bei Surfline, Magicseaweed und Surf-Forecast sogenannte "Swell-Alerts". Wenn du die anschaltest, kriegst du Benachrichtigungen sobald die Vorhersage sehr große Wellen prognostiziert :)

Hi there. Lovely drone footage. We will be in Portugal today week from 03 to 07dec and as we are staying in Cascais, I'm trying to see which would be the best day to go to Nazare. We arrive Saturday at 5pm and from what I can see the 5m waves are in Saturday before 5pm. Would you suggest we go on Sunday? Are they still good surfing waves? I'm going for photography so really want to choose the day with the most crazy waves possible. Can you help suggest a day?
Hi Tessa, so in general the forecast is a good indicator but never get too attached to it. Sometimes it's true, sometimes it's worse, sometimes it's better. I just checked it and it seems though that the biggest conditions - which don't necessarily mean best - seem to be on the 3rd, so your observation is correct. Sunday still looks surfable so I guess that some teams will likely be riding! If you want to come here for taking pictures, I suggest to come early (be here around 7:30am or even 7:00). The light throughout noon is not the nicest for anybody who wants to capture it (especially on sunny days). If you have the time, spend all of the 4th here (Nazare is a lovely town itself) and then you'll just see when it's best. Also, I recommend not to come with the expectation that anybody will be surfing. That way you can't be disappointed and either way you will go back home with nice pictures, with or without surfing :)

Thanks so much johannes....I will spend the day in Nazare on the 4th and will see what I get. 7am might be a bit tough as if I calculated it correctly, it's about a 2hr drive from cascais.... not to mention the possibility of getting lost as well haha. But the sun sets on the coast there so that should be good too I would think
