This was a really good situation comedy with a great load of characters. Now these type comedy shows are no longer around just Comedy Store politically charged sarcasm.
I don't know if this is due to all my years in japan but i find him absolutely adorable as a boss . i would have paid mine there to be that friendly. Had i deliberately poured cups of coffees on the floor in front of my boss i could have not only collected my stuff and quit before they fired me but also leave the country because they would have put it on my file and not a single company would have hired me after that, not even mcdonalds.
@colliric in the next episode 1-2 they identify themselves as gay. If at the end of the series they are portrayed as hetero, that's a super-rich non sequitur.
@iMeanYouNoHarm At the end of the series both turn out to be heterosexual though, at the very very end that is... So Touche. Also it played upon a stereotype by placing them as workers in a Gym. So in that way it poked fun at the stereotypical Gay Physical Education guy. Mined the same comedy stereotype as Mr Humphreys in "Are You Being Served?", the Gay department store menswear clerk, and the Gay PE teachers. Oh and Humphreys turned out to be Bi.
He reminds me of so many bosses I've had over the years!
That poor receptionist!

oh my goodness my lovely friend Jo Jo as the councillor, how lovely to see her
I think she also played Annie Sugden's daughter Peggy Skilbeck in Emmerdale Farm in 1972 and 73 - please correct me if I'm wrong.
I used to really fancy Linda when I was a spotty 13 year old. :)))
She was very pretty. I can certainly see why you'd fancy her.

Fair enough
Angie was something of a crush of mine, I was a well pissed off adolescent when she vanished after just one series.
She was also in Only Fools and Horses as "Nervous Nerys". More recently she acted in Casualty.
LOL 8.00 Boom in shot. Top right.
12 years ago! Was RUclips around then?
I did swimming lessons at the leisure centre they used for the location shots (ring wood leisure centre)
Me to
Cool
I bloody loved this as a kid, still do. Does anyone know where to get this for a cheep price.
5:23 Excellent the way Gordon Brittas handles his staff. Many an aspiring manager could learn from this.
Classic comedy 😅
Mr Brittas a real peoples person lol!!!!
I think Brittas is actually a good guy.
That's a unusually colourful staff room o.o
Gordon: a tonic to himself.
It's, it's NERVOUS NERRIS.
NEXUS MINDWARPED AMERICA. Where?
this reminds me of fusion lifestyle
@covladuk1985 No - a swim in 80 F water would constitute a nice afternoon, whereas 80 C water would result in a free ride to the local burns unit.
8 minutes in. Boom mic in shot. Disaster!
Cool, they've got Andy Murray to teach table tennis!
He does look a bit like Andy did when he was in his teens!
In many ways things have gone backwards since then. Gavin and Tim are fairly normal. If this was made today it would probably be more obvious.
Nowadays you'd need an interpreter. A demanding job in the current UK demographic, unfortunately.
Deal or no deal brought me here, Noel called Ian Mr Brittas this afternoon.
@bubblebibbit What in the 90s?
@DexterAndCromwell
BBC sitcoms always have issues with that in every single episode.
Yeah ikr

Lol that can't really be andy Murray could it.
@kickinoverya ugh its not just that its those awful outfits - the god awful short shorts and hair cuts and... everything!
something annoys me about this tv show and it did as a kid too. it may be the fake laugh track. but the welsh guy annoyed me as a kid too.
It's not canned laughter it's a live audience.
@@ganados0 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
they're pretty obvious about it!
you know they could be bi
