Outside of frontiers obviously, everything sega has put out up to it after forces was either rehashes of the classic area(mania and origins) or reboots of past games(colors ultimate) with the only somewhat exception being sonic x shadow generations but that's just dlc so it probably wouldn't really count. From the way I see(and it's just opinion) I think sega is progressively running out of ways to give more lore to sonic and his adventures to the point where incorporating past forms like hyper or new forms like corrupted super form into the future is unethical. Outside of the rehashing of the classic 2d games I can't even remember the last time the master emerald was incorporated into any of the main series games after SA2
@@gogetathedripgod1928 I think the best option for them right now besides trying to create an original story is a remake of sonic forces. The phantom ruby and infinite had (in my opinion) a lot of potential to be a very good. perhaps it wouldve made more sense to make the phantom ruby a synthetic copy of the master emerald created by eggman after years and years of hard work. that could tie in more lore for the master emerald and chaos emeralds, as well as potentially bring back the super emeralds from sonic 3 so we can get hyper sonic. hell, maybe even make the game so instead of it being another generations with classic sonic, its another sonic 06 with shadow and silver replacing classic and the creatable character. but thats just my opinion, i dont know enough of archie sonic lore to really present an argument or anything. i just think this would be cool.
