A Kryosheet thermal pad and the handheld DIY back plate should out perform the liquid metal mod! It should be safer, and it would last the lifetime of the device without the chance of destroying the device in case the liquid metal moves around. I tip My hat to you for using liquid metal without nickle plating your copper heat sink! The copper may absorb the liquid metal slightly, increasing Temps over time. Thank you for testing a different cooling solution. You have my sub and likes. Keep up the good work!!!!

Thank you so much for watching and providing that amazing feedback.
I completely agree with you about the kryosheet-I also expected it to perform better, but it didn't quite meet expectations. Not sure why.
Also, I wasn't aware that I needed to do something specific with the Cooper pipe since I don't often use that steam deck. I mainly use the OLED these days, so hopefully, it should be okay.
I'm really hoping that the rog ally stays in good shape. 🙏

Зачем так много жидкого металла лить? Достаточно капли размером с кристаллик сахара. И растирать хорошо.

for the rog ally you prefer kryosheet or liquid metal ?

So the Kryosheet, for me personally did not work as well as I hoped.
Now.. I did liquid metal my royally before but did not prep it like I did in this video. Some of the metal did leak and damaged my ally.
This go around I made sure to prep it properly, so keep that in mind if you try to liquid metal yours.
All and all the liquid metal has worked best for me. Best temp I've seen and performance. But the last bios update to the Ally ruined some of it performance, software wise. I've seen it all over forums.
      Thanks for watching !

@@3nv7Tech liquid metal will not damage the apu and cooler ? even with conductonaut extreme ?

So far so good for me, I made sure i added the Shied around the APU. so even if the metal leaks.. its covered. The cooling performance is way better. but honestly.. this latest bios update sucks!
