And I think that information is rather important, especially for new players. So the only way to acquire them are normal and epic invite letters. The important difference in this regard is that epic pulls only give *5* copies of an A-Level hero in comparison to the *8* from the rate-up banner. But 1 copy of an S-Level hero equals 8 of an A-Level hero (at least until Supreme+). So pulling A-Level heroes via epic invite letters is actually a waste of resources. Therefore I'd argue that it's actually better and more important to pull for A-Level heroes from the rate-up banner. At least if they're good. You should always pull for meta-defining tier 0 characters like Lily Mae anyway, obviously. But if a hero is decently good, it's more important for A-Level heroes to get them from the rate-up banner as opposed to S-level heroes.

Far easier to level up a S heroes than As without the shop being changed (which is ridiculous they aren’t changing it). i think if hero is just good (not OP), prioritize pulling the A levels. if theyre lily may levels of OP, obviously pull for it. but if just good and they're an S level hero, im going to skip and let go to normal/epic banner.

I even fight a mirror match being the same Scarlita team, the only difference between our team is that my opponent is using Thoran as a tank(all 5 of them are paragon 1 as well), while I'm using Ulmus as my tank... but I still manage to beat it also I haven't unlocked my paragon yet, So yeah A-level should really not be neglected since they are great as well
As someone who's been playing less than a week and VERY far off getting my first Reinier let alone a Mythic + version of them, I'm happy with my supreme Sinbad right now :)

@@NorthernBlade- I'm not really the best person to ask as I'm so new too. Apparently the girl is strong, though I've not pulled her so can't say for sure as i've not tried her. I'm personally enjoying using Sinbad in Dream Realm boss fights, the debuffs he puts on the bosses really help the team overall and his own personal damage isn't bad either at these low levels. He really shines if you can get enough copies of him to get him to mythic+ rating though.

Your main goal is to build a strong main team and focus on them first before branching out into other units. This is even more of a focus if you are free to play. Now if you are spending then by all means pull for sinbad. I wouldnt waste your money on Nara though. Shes not that good of unit.
@@NorthernBlade- yes it is okay but make sure you have your wishlist set. I recommend watching some banner pull wishlist guides so you can get some good core units built early. I recommend having smokey, odie, and thoran as a good core. Gives you 3 units that specialize in each role and then you can branch off from there. Always pull in baches of 60 though so you guarentee your pity summon and are not wasting extra resources when you have pity available.
The issue is that there is no good tank for Lightbearer. Temesia is just a DPS Tank, and Lucius is a Shielding Tank. Both reliant on healing where both supports of Lightbearer are dogshit healers... Despite having the greatest Assasin Combo with Rowan and Cassidee, there are no viable way of generating enough DPS so make a dent on the enemy so they will be threatened. Most damage is in burst, but decent DPS nah... Though they have a ridiculous Warrior/Bruiser combo, that will only work more with other faction help and not pure lightbearer...

0:40 Disagree. the safest is to wait till the next A level hero release to decide if you want to pull that and swap to Sinbad. Even if you have enough to pity 2 heroes, what if two S tier heroes turns out to be really good? for example Tasi and Sonja. you can't swap Sinbad with any of them since Sinbad is A tier. And it is unlikely that the next A tier hero will be as good as Sinbad too, being A tier hero. Even though Sinbad is a decent character, pulling for sinbad is still a risky move because you might not have enough resources in case there are multiple OP S tier heroes.
Everyone remember that you have hero swaps for this season. So if another A level this season turns out better, you can just swap over with a ticket. Less risk if you like this character.
You should always pull a few times if you have the Rate-Up letters to do it. Outside of one dud being Soren, every hero has had some impact at one point in the game. The worst thing you can do is have 0 copies of a hero that's suddenly meta-defining, and you're only getting them through standard invites, which is a painfully slow process. These new heroes will NEVER end up in the Dream Realm or Arena shop, it's simply not how the economics of an F2P gacha game works (or if they do end up in those shops, it'll be several years into the game's life cycle). I always at the very least get a rate up to M before the next one rotates out, that way I can start building toward M+ if it becomes obvious that the hero is worth investing for the season.
that's how I built lily may. got her to m+ via the rate up banner and slowly got more copies via invites. I would still be missing out on her power if not for that start.
Dude I don't understand why you complain that doing an A hero pull is more “painful” in the rate up banner than an S hero pull when in theory you spend the same on both to get them to S+, you need 8 pulls in the rate up banner whether it is an A or S hero to get them to S+.
So from what I gathered from this is, if you're F2P and you already have* Reinier or don't have enough for 2 S+ Pity Pulls then it's probably not a good idea. Definitely if you check off both. Edit: Which I agree with this sentiment 100%
I am free to play and started the game about half a week ago and I went and got nara to mythic instead lol. Her chain ability is extremely useful for eliminating healers immediately.

Well as soon as I saw him I pulled, got him 30 pulls in but Volkin remember when you roll for 4 star units on their banner you get 8 copies total not just one which will make it easier to later get to mythic Plus thats my plan I am later on putting him on the wishlist to get to mythic. I was waiting for more light bearers because honestly so few are good so he is a great addition to certain teams. On the other hand I agree if not enough gems better just leave him for the wish list later. I pulled and still have at least like 17k gems is not much but with the farm Ill get there plus my luck has been CRAZY lately in almost all of the gachas I play (except Wuthering Waves lol) but like the Japanese say hard work beated luck. I will always try to have a good stash of gems as f2p to always roll for the new shinny unit at least one copy if possible (when they are 5 stars) or the standard 8 copies if 4 stars unless im waiting for an especific unit. I just wish they would add more 4* grave units to add to the wishlist. also I think using both reinier and him will be pretty good to double buff I guess.
he's my favorite character in the new season. went all out, 72k+ diamonds and 30 invite letters, and i'm missing the last 8 copies for S+. hard pity every time, same with Lily May. the rate up banner feels horrible for me to pull on, so i might ignore it from now on lol (after finishing Sinbad, ofc)
See volkin the problem with banking on using those swap tickets tho is they are locked out for a certain period of time, so when will be even actually be able to get the a level swap ticket? In 3 weeks?
there is an argument to going for a different celestial or hypogean instead of the obligatory m+ reinier rush, but as volkin says, even as a side grade to reinier, the limiting faction bonus might be an issue.

@artokaii S levels are generally better because of stat differences...also,they will be replaced by s level alternatives in the future... Marilee by lily may for example. But that does not discount the power of specific A levels... But most A levels are worse in comparison,just choose wisely. Also ,8 copies Vs 64 copies on the rate up banner... No difference is there? Get either 8 times and you are good (specifically for rate up)

It's not worse, it's just easier to get, so getting them with rate-up scrolls seems like a waste.
I'm still chasing S+ Ulmus months later, I feel like pulling on A banners is worth it, S rank heroes are way easier to tier up.
