I met Taylor at the Wong fu movie premiere last year in LA and it was when he wasn't as well known in Wong fu. I went up to him and asked for a picture and he's like "what me? I'm nobody!" and i was like "are you kidding me?! youre taylor!!!" he was so sweet and smiling and laughing and I was just so excited. Taylor you're so great and I'll never forget how happy I was to meet you!
First impressions:
Wes- quiet, funny and very cool. Wes became my role model instantly.
Phil- charming, funny, boy next door. Phil is the person you want to meet when you don't know anyone else in the room. His smile is very welcoming.
Ted- hilarious. I wish Ted could be my big brother or cousin. He's so funny and responsible yet irresponsible at the same time. Those early WFW are the best because Ted is there.
Christine- the first video I saw Christine in I knew she was the boss. She's the one who keeps everyone together and keeps things moving, the heart of the family.
Taylor- I remember seeing Taylor and thinking he was a great addition to WF. He's funny, genuine and someone who can brighten your day. I wish Phil, Ted, Taylor and Wes could be in a Lunch Break together, I think I would be crying from laughter within 60 seconds.

I like Wong Fu's Lunch Break because it's very personal. It's like the screen disappears and we're in that room with you guys in real time. Especially when you guys keep looking at the camera. I'd really like to know who came up with the Lunch Break idea.
Phil: The confident guy who knows what to say and is comfortable with himself. Which is why I was surprised when Wes said he and Phil were feeling awkward at the Sundance Festival. But yeah, I forget, everyone gets uncomfortable and awkward at points in their lives, even confident people.
Christine: Like one commenter said, she's this very open girl with a lot of heart. She takes it upon herself to take care of everyone and she is obviously a very responsible person. She is encouraging and genuinely interested in others, but she also knows how to stand up for what she believes in, even if that means disagreeing with her friends. Basically an awesome role model. Oh and she is definitely a very headstrong person, and very comfortable with herself. (I ended up going on a long train ride with my evaluation of Christine...)
Taylor: First of all, even before impressions, I keep mixing up Wes and Taylor because Taylor looks so much like his name is Wes!! Even now! Like, I have this thing where I look at someone and say, "You look like a Vanessa." Which is really stereotypical/judgemental in a sense, but I can't help it!! I'm sorry. Anyway, I remember watching a video where Taylor kept dropping pick up lines or sex jokes, I think, so I thought he was that kind of guy. But after watching more videos, I think Taylor is a very deep person. At first glance, literally at first glance, due to his appearance, the way he speaks, how he carries himself, he doesn't look like somebody who does a lot of deep thinking (I'm sorry Taylor!!). But after I got to know him better through more videos, his deep side starts to show, and there was this video when he shared a lot of wisdom, and it showed just how much thinking he does and how much wisdom he has. And yeah, I guess it's his tendency to laugh that cements the first impression of him, of being a casual person, but after he shells out knowledge and still laughs, he does a great balancing act of serious wisdom and easygoing energy. You also give off this kinda uneasy aura, because of your soft voice, your shifting eye contact, and the way you deliver your words, it's uneasy and slightly uncomfortably quiet. Be more comfortable with yourself, dude! You're fine, you're great! Also, you come off as a sensitive guy, which is nice. (I'll work on getting your name right.)
Chris: I don't think I've met you before this video, because I don't remember your name or face, so I guess I only knew of you as the guy who edits Lunch Break videos, when the others mentioned the editing in other videos. (Or are there more than one video editors?) Anyway, you and Wes are kinda similar. You're both quiet but once you speak, intelligence flows out and so do your observation skills. But you guys are different kinds of quiet. Chris is the refined, sensitive quiet, at least by his tone and delivery of words. When he speaks, he sounds like he is really learnt and knows a lot about the world, and has experienced many things in life, so altogether very knowledgeable. He's like the kind of guy I wish would talk more, which I think he would if he didn't seem so shy. The one thing Chris has in common with Wes, besides being quiet, is that they're both pretty technical, but due to different reasons. It's like both of them could make videos like 10 Ways People Smile. Chris is technical probably because he's been around, while Wes, because he pays attention to detail. Like Chris would demonstrate the different smiles, while Wes would go down to technical terms like cheekbones, jawlines, dilated eyes, etc. That's probably why I think they get along well.
Wes: He is the sensitive quiet, because he pauses as he talks, like he is slowly thinking through what he says. With his tone of voice, I feel like he can pull off dry humour... sort of. I feel like he wants to say more, but restricts himself.

"Great balancing of serious wisdom and easygoing energy." Wow, spot on! Add in humorous and thoughtfull and there you have it - the perfect description of _my_ impression of Taylor.
I feel like he is a person who's very smart and intelligent, but tries to explain things in a way that helps everyone understand easily. He makes his ideas accesible and leads conversations in a very approachable way. (I wish I could do that too, but I'm either head on or trying too hard to think of questions.) Someone who isn't all up in their secluded world and occasionally gives some output, but rather interacts by reacting to people. Very feedback oriented in that sense. "Do they understand? Are they interested? Are they participating? Why / Why not? How can I react to that?" Absolutely amazing.
I know Lunchbreaks are just casual conversations, but he ALWAYS adds value when he's there.

Christine- She's the type of girl that i would love to have as a sister or a mentor. She's hardworking but shes still fun at the same time. All the advice she gives out is really good and the fact that she loves TOP makes me like her even more.
Wes- He's super cute (LOL), pretty reserved, but still is able to state his presence in a large crowd. Seems really passionate about his work!
Chris- He seems hardworking and a bit serious but his curly hair is telling me otherwise. LOL
Taylor- This guy is just awesome. He's funny, a bit awkward, and definitely quirky. Can he be my friend?

My first impression of Taylor was that he made everyone around him feel comfortable...like at ease? He seems so welcoming and genuine.

My first impressions:
Wes: very reserved, keeps things more to himself. In his shorts I would say he is better off camera that on just because he seems forced when ever he acts and it really shows that u are not that comfortable in that atmosphere. And that is totally fine because the shorts u direct are wonderful and it just goes to show that someone can't be good at everything and there are always things u are good at.
Christine: really pretty, more out there and really fun to go shopping with😅 She also seems like she can be a party animal but at the same time a workaholic. Overall u definitely make WongFu Productions THE WongFu Productions☺️
Taylor: so fun I literally just want to hug him every time I see him (on screen ofcourse😅) because he is just so damn cute and so cuddly!!! You are so chill but even tho u seem like a very comfortable person I wasn't surprised that u had insecurities too. Some of the most comfortable ppl are the ones who have the most insecurities.

My first impressions of everyone are:
Phil - the expressive guy. He's in touch with his emotions and is not afraid to express them. A bit childish at times ;) I think he's the office bully!
Wes - the perfectionist, everything has to be organized or clean or with some kind of aesthetic. He's shy but can be expressive when you talk to him things that he is passionate about :)
Christine - the mommy of them all. She has this "Okay boys, behave yourself" aura with her, and how she gives them "the look" when they're misbehaving is funny. She's very sweet and caring also :)
Taylor - he's the funny guy, with all his random ideas. I think Taylor has a wide imagination, shows how he connects things even if they're outside the conversation. But he's also very sweet and mindful of people. He's the kind of guy you can talk to about anything, and you won't feel awkward :D
Chris - you're the guy who has three things on his mind at the same time. You're very creative. I think Phil bullies you and you're a nice guy and you just let him. he he he :)

Now that you guys mentioned it, I really love the way Benson and Chris edit. For me, they know exactly when to zoom in on someone's important point or if something is funny. It must be fun to have all that material to work with ^__^ (also when I met Christine, I was immediately lifted by her contagious aura of cheerfulness, thanks for being so nice, Queen!)
First impression:
Wes- very meticulous, slightly judgemental. Very creative

But I also just want to say I love this channel and of course the main channel. You all make such great work but also seem like such good, genuine people. In all honestly my first impression was, and the feeling I still have is, I would love to have these people as friends.

I think my first impression of Christine is that she's a real powerhouse. Like, she's driven to get things done, she knows what she wants, how she wants it done, etc. . I thought she would be super serious! And now, I realize that Christine still is a really focused and hardworking person, but that she also very nurturing and kind. Kind of like the big sister we all want.

I'm a newcomer to Wong fu and just watched this for the first time
I realize this is years old, but I wanted to give a real 1st impression of all of you.
Taylor seems to be comedic at times, he has his shy moments, very thoughtful, genuine and kind. He would be someone easy to become friends with.
Wes seems reserved, very analytical, he thinks things through or at least weigh's out different scenarios before making a decision. Not very spontaneous, but caring, he would go the extra mile for those he cares about.
Chris seems smart, reserved sort of a bookworm, you would be the kind of friend that makes others want to learn more, I think a bit of a romantic as well.
Christine, she seems confident, except for those times that she's not so sure of herself, she makes friends easily and she open up to people she feels close to. She knows how to keep people engaged even when conversation starts to lag.
Anyway, great lunch break - I really admire how you guys are able to to go beneath the surface with your feelings, and not hide who you really are.
Wes: at first shy and quiet, but you know he is deep and creative with an inner confidence.
Chris: knowledgable and seems the sciencesy type
Tay: funny and easy going person to be around with
Christine: Motherly and nurturing. Can work hard and party hard knowing when is the right time to do so.

Have only met Wes in person- first impression from afar; reserved and calm. I actually never expected you to say much! But once the meet-and-greet started, you were really friendly and very genuine (felt it when you gave me a hug and said thank you for waiting and meeting us!)

I loved this Lunch Break episode so much! I was incredibly lucky to have met Christine, Taylor & Wes when they came to Waterloo for the EBU tour. I remember all of them being exactly what I thought they'd be like - Christine was super sweet, Taylor was (of course) full of witty jokes and Wes was very cool and thoughtful. :-)

I still remembered the day that I got to meet you guys at the EBU Malaysia Screening and I vividly remembered having the feeling of weak in the knees when they processed us into going the green room (Where there wasn't much green of furniture or assortments, That was a joke) and I felt like I was going to not make a good first impression to you guys (Christine, Wes, Phil and Taylor). But I was totally blown away from what my expectations of the meeting turned out to become. Wes is totally like how everyone describes him to be and I remembered I told him he was less larger than how I imagined and he got all conscious about but he's a very insightful person when given the right amount of materials to talk to and was really friendly so you get my rate of AWKSOME, Wes. For Phil, I didn't approach him immediately as he was already preoccupied with other fans mingling with him so I took some time to cool off the excitement by grabbing the pizza's and surely enough when I was skimming through all of the different variety of pizzas, there came Phil to pick up a slice of pizza and he even offered me to take one but I told him "I've ate that one just now." and along came a few more extra boxes of pizza supply and I was especially fond of this as I was helping Phil to relocate some of the remaining pizza slices into the empty boxes with some leftovers and he was trying to strategise how to manage the food and drinks on the table to accommodate the surplus. After that, I came to finally be in contact with Phil in the corner and I greeted him and also giving him a handshake. I felt so starstruck and I congratulated him for his accomplishment on the movie and also fulfilling his promise to showcase the movie with the crew when it's finished which coincidently was the first time I got to see them in person (not up close but it was definitely a momentous occasion. Fun Fact: The event that I first saw them took place on the 13th of December 2014 and their EBU KL Screening took place 18th of December 2014). I've took the opportunity to tell him of my favourite work by them which Phil appreciated. Phil also gets the AWKSOME badge for being such an amazing person on screen and also off screen. Then we got Taylor, he is seriously the most easy going person that I've find to seamlessly adjust without changing much of myself when we first met, he would definitely be the type of person that I'd befriends with from primary school and beyond. I can only imagine hanging out with Taylor would be like your run-of-the-mill meeting but with unexpected outcomes as we spoke to one another. I would like to apologies to Taylor for not remembering about your lactose intolerant hazard that you have when I invited you to grab a slice of pizza with me (Don't hate Taylor, we have so much to talk and joke around). I remembered an instance during the pizza party where all of the people were scattered around the room rapt in concentrating on each of the Wong Fu team and Taylor was unattended and I came up to him and as we face our sides parallel to the crowd, I ask about his past experience working with the WF team and it's only been 2 years and I told him "it's the experience that you have that defines your career as oppose to the length of your career" and I said afterwards "Pizza does bring the most profound things into discussion". Thank you guys (Wong Fu and the spectacular fans)
My first impression of Wong Fu was that it seemed really cool. Glad my first impression was right. :D
I actually met Wes twice, once at anime expo 2011 and last year at the LA premiere. at anime expo, I was that girl with the Wong fu sign xD I'm actually in the wfw its so crazy! I remember thinking wes was super tall and yeah just like he was on camera. he was his kinda awkward self but just so nice and easy to talk to for that tiny bit of time ❤ much love and I hope I'll get to meet you again one day!!

Wes seem shy and a bit awkward at time but as i kept watching WongFu, i realise that he is Awesome storie teller and a person i would love to ask question and chat with.
Phil seem like an outgoing kind a guy that you could easliy talk to and you would have fun with. i also notice that he had somethings he didnt want share. he seem like a person who liked to make others happy but forgets to consider his own happiness.
christen seem like a good leader who is like a mother that takes the lead and take care of everyone. she also very bubble and all around bestie material.
Chris seems like a person who you would never get bored around. smart and educated person who could connect with on a deeper level but still have fun.

I feel like Wes has so many deep and intriguing thoughts that would get me thinking an initial conversation wouldnt be enough. He'd be a great mentor. Wongfu team in general seem like great conversationalists
I actually met Taylor for the first time in person at your Everything Before Us movie premiere in Boston. He seemed professional and stern at first (obv because he was working and shooting) but when they introduced him to everyone during the Q&A segment, I could tell he was more awkward and reserved. It wasn't until the lunch break and first episodes where I learned how funny you were and now you're my favoriteeeeee! #tayisbae

My first impression of Taylor is that he just seems like a really genuine, nice guy with a dash of funny and awkward. The past few days I've been going through and watching the lunch breaks that I have not watched. There was one that I watched and he wasn't in it and when I got done with it I actually thought "I wonder what funny things Taylor would have said if he was there".
I wish Phil was in on this conversation too!!

1. Wes: seemed preserved and smart.
2. Phil: the talkie box of the group, got fun personalities.
3. Ted: obviously the joker of the group, definitely want to invite for fun activities.
4. Taylor: sweet and friendly guy.

Personal 1st impressions of Wong Fu: Christine, fun big sister. Easy to talk to. The person in Wong Fu you go to with personal stuff. Wes: artsy big brother. Dousnt talk much, but when he does talk he dousnt waist his words. Benson: fun younger brother. He's just Benson XD
My first impression of Wong Fu is that they were all very committed to film making and are very fun people to hang out with! What else can I say? These were the traits that made me subscribe to them and I don't regret ever doing that :D
I am a big, big fan of all things WongFu! As a older white american I really enjoy the view of young Asian Americans sharing their thoughts and creativity in a way that frankly without you tube I would never be exposed to. I really believe that this kind of thing is very important to the world overall. I have learned about the LBGTQ community, Deaf and hard of hearing, gaming, etc... I love you tube! PS - loved Everything before us! Lunch Break has given me a big crush on Christine, just saying
I feel like i'm definitely a Taylor. A little shy, a little awkward, but caring and when I talk, it's usually something that makes everyone laugh.

Wes: Quiet, reserved (Sorta like me :P). But often cracks those awkward, yet funny jokes :D. The person among the group who I would personally choose to talk to first.
Taylor: He's very 'smiley', awkward but hilarious. Someone who lightens the mood. His funny and social attitude is what I strive to have/ be like.
Chris: I rarely see him, so this really is my first impression of him based on this video. Serious, polite, friendly :P. Besides Wes, I would probably connect with him most based on similar personalities.
Christine: Confident, bold and welcoming, but still has a funny sense of humour. She would probably be the one to start the conversation (at least with me haha), she seems like someone I can trust and tell things to :). She also has the ideal social confidence I wish to have when meeting people.
Overall, you're all great!

Here's my First Impressions of WongFu (:
Christine: super bubbly and fun, would be amazing to go shopping in Japan with!! A natural born leader, very motherly and really sweet and kind, but can be slightly evil when she wants to.
Taylor: cute and cuddly, the fun friend that has a 'funny' joke or pun for every situation you're in and very easy to talk to.
Phil: confident, self-assured and the motivational, positive, optomistic team member.
Wes: reserved, keeps to himself, very sciency, but seemed very creative (expresses self through art and style). A simple person with minimalistic tastes and a tad bit awkward. (Also TBH very hot and cute and still think that to this day but JennettxWes is cuter I SHIP)
Ted: super adorable, forever a child and never afraid to express the inner child.
Ashley: the fun sister/friend you'd be able to talk to and laugh about things for hours, even if the amount of time you'd known each other was short.
Chris: slightly nerdy, and a LOT TALLER than I expected. (I also have an uncle that kind of looks like him so I thought he'd play the guitar and maybe go to the gym for some reason LOLOL)
Benson: the friend who would be a great teacher (patient, logically and simply explain things)
Jenn: fun, bubbly, sweet and innocent, as well as slightly shy. The one who seems shy and cute, but when you get to know her is a super loyal and caring person who is very detail-oriented.
I have a big problem with looking at people when I talk to and, sometimes, listening to them. I hadn't noticed until the last couple months when I'd be talking to my therapist and looking around the room instead of at her.
Wes- really nice, quiet, genuine, cute, funny, and smart
Christine- Genuine, Nice, Sassy (in a good way), Pretty, and Smart

Wes: I'll be honest. Since I'm watching WongFu-videos you've always been my favourite. When I saw you for the first time I was like "wow, he's kinda cute" and then I got to know your personality a little bit more through the videos. And I just started to like you even more, haha. Even though you can be a bit awkward, that suits you!

I like to think that Phil speaks for him in a different way. I think Wes misses Phil when he's not there so he tries to make up for it
I normally get distracted with full-on eye contact for too long. So I make it a habit to have either my left or right eye directed at the person's temple (between the eyes) when the conversation gets long.
Also first impression of Wong Fu, I thought Ted was the "leader/founder" of Wong Fu, I know you all are leaders/founders, but Ted stood out more for some reason. It wasn't till about months later of watching Wong Fu vids that I got the feel of who's who and the unique/creative individuality each of you bring to the table. As a whole however, my fIrst impressions of Wong Fu weren't good. I thought you guys were silly and not worth the time, BUT I WAS PROVEN WRONG! I was hooked from the beginning and saw the quality of the different approaches to story telling you guys had. I Was VERY IMPRESSED and been a fan since... Looking forward to more Awksome stuff! Shine On Wong Fu!

I got to meet some of you guys at an EBU showing and I waved at Taylor but he kinda gave me a glare and ignored me ;; I attempted a second time later after the showing but got the same reaction LOL but I think Taylor is still really funny and nice on screen. I think maybe he didn't think fans knew of him then and/or didn't like to interact with fans yet?
I've always enjoyed seeing Christine! When I saw a girl often on WFWs I was like, "she's so professional and cool" hahaha
Wes is Wes hahah he really is the same in real life as he is on screen from the one time we met. I always thought he was good looking and really punny.
I love Chris!! He might be my fav from Team B hahha
My first impressions:
Wes - very artsy and shy and reserved, but can be very funny at times as well as very very talented (I associate Wes with so many of my quiet artsy friends you don't even know - one of them is even CALLED Wesley I stg)
Phil - very outspoken guy with a lot of dad jokes (that most people wouldn't laugh at) and also very happy and enthusiastic (I realised later that he's a very deep person when I watched The Last and Strangers, Again)
Christine - very confident and reliable, like you could trust her with anything, ranging from keeping secrets to doing that task you needed done for months
Taylor - shy, funny guy with allergies (IM SORRY) so something like the short shy guy stereotype
Ashley - don't-give-a-shit attitude strong girl with on point makeup AND hair and isn't afraid to speak out against what she's opposed to
Benson - the semi-quiet funny guy next to you in class who is also really strong and buff
Chris - quiet intellectual, basically, who knows everything and would engage in conversations about like, let's say, politics or philosophy
My first impression was:

Taylor: he is a baby
