I really liked your restoration of that Farmall "M", you did an amazing job! That paint job was impressive as well, if I had to guess that's also the same technique that my Uncle Rick used for his tractor restorations, all of his 2 cylinder tractors are all shiny like new once he's done with them haha. My family was raised on John Deere and my grandpa had a Farmall Model F Cub that I used to drive all the time, it's my favorite of all of his tractors, I love John Deere, but there's something about Oilvers and Farmalls that just sets them apart from John Deere.
Try switching your cylinder sauce to 2-Stroke oil and Acetone. Think about it. 2-Stroke oil lubricates and burns off cleaner than ATF. Love your style. Keep up your great attitude 👍👍
Andrew, You're in college already??? I thought you were still a senior in high school. I hope you're studying engineering or something technical. You have a gift. By the way, I love those glossy red rims your Dad painted. They look stunning on the 55. 👍
They are kind of goofy, but I am already used to the Oliver shift pattern with my 70. They are the same I believe aside from super series having 2 reverse speeds. And I am left handed so the left side shift lever may be smoother for us people.
Good video. Your dad he’s a good guy! Can I ask what you’re taking in school? And I’m going to push it what does your dad do for a living? You’re both very talented. Thanks again for the good videos
As you have been reassembling tractors etc for a while I assume that you could have given some thought to the future. What do you plan to do? Will the fixing, re building become a major part of your life or will be something you do when you have the time?
This is a great video, and you have a great channel. I'm really enjoying it. I have some questions, though. I hope you don't mind. What are you studying in college and what year are you in? And, how old are you? Thanks. Also, where do you live, and what is the name of your college?
Hello. 3 questions would you perhaps like restore a McCormick WD9 or John Deere R or D ? What is planned for 2024? Is there any dream Tractor that you absolutey must have in your Collection? Sorry my English is Not good. I am a big Fan From 🇩🇪
@@thesmallenginekid That was a really cool collection of tractors. I ended up getting the John Deere Model L with the homemade mount on the front. Also I’m glad you were able to get that Oliver it’s certainly a cool tractor and I’m excited to be able to watch it get restored.
Are ya gonna keep the 55 Andrew? I've seen vids where ya sold lawnmowers and such...do ya have a whole collection of this old iron or is there a market for these really nice looking old relics?
Thanks for watching. If you have more than 10 tractors it is not advisable to count them - I stopped counting! Restored tractors are usually worth less than the cost of parts, fluids, and paint needed to bring them back to life. The reward is the experience and pride.
@@thesmallenginekid HAHAHA, the same is true of Volkswagens and Squarebody Trucks.😬 Bet. We need a quick tour of them when you're home for Christmas, maybe 1-2 mins on each...simple edit...🤷♂️
I like how you get the obvious stuff out of the way before you try to start it. Good habit.

Love seeing these videos from you!
Keep up the good work! You are a very impressive young man with a very supportive Dad. Good stuff!

Nice find. 5000 hrs and purring. Just one tip: make sure to crosspattern when fastening bolts to avoid them coming loose easier.
Sweet tractor, good score!
Gotta love an Oliver!

Awesome job on the tractor Thank you for the video
So enjoy your videos, you are one smart young man and all the best on your future.
Good job young man
Can’t wait to see the Oliver with shiny green paint!
Keep them coming Andrew they’re great
You must be at PSU! Wish you all the best. Looks like you are standing in lion country.
We are
Seeing these old tractors reminds me of the tv show green acres
Just remember you can't put a regular oil pressure gauge on there. They are only a 17 lb guage.
andrew. lhad one of those. it is a very good tractor but the shift on the transmission takes a little getting used to. best wishes and happy holidays

Great video thanks for sharing take care
You need to be a tractor judge for the major ag mechanics shows!

Thanks. I plan on doing Mechanical or Ag Engineering.

You do an awesome job with the tractors
Nice job

I want to find a diesel. Like a John Deere R or 730. Or an Oliver with the Detroit Engine.
Ok nice. How you find the Farmall MD or the McCormick F12 or I12?
Did you get that tractor from Boyertown PA Aumann auction?
Yes, I was watching online all the nice tractors. I kind of overpaid for a non runner stuck engine with a hard to find rusted through rim.

Awesome, My grandpa has an LA that is a great little tractor. I was bidding on the L/LA''s but the prices went above my budget!
@@thesmallenginekidyeah I bid a little higher than I was planing on
Where can i buy one of these?
Come and pick one.
“I had my paint guy paint them up while I was at school”. You have a “paint guy”?
It’s just my dad.
What is your acetone and atf mix ratio?
roughly 50/50
@@thesmallenginekid thank you
I tell you what Andrew is a way better mechanic then they are here in Australia
😁🤩👌👍👍
