Are they planning to destroy the building and hot spring water to put in solar (why?)? Or is solar somehow causing physical damage? It's not at all clear what the issue is as solar just sits there.

The solar farm will butt right up against the "village", a designation that is supposed to protect the immediate area from being encroached on in this manner. I've seen maps, the solar will surround Jacumba on 3 sides, dwarfing and practically swallowing the place. There is more research to do if there is a failure to understand how the reflection and increased heat and electrification surrounding Jacumba will not be a huge detriment to the population.

Good luck to them. SDG&E did $6500 in damage to my road & well, with the totally unnecessary "Sunrise Power Link." They lied and cheated my widowed mother out of the money to repair the damage. They have some real scum at that company---one in particular named "Todd." They even scared Turko's boss out of running my story.

Sunrise was mandated by the feds. Did they ever pay or repair your damages?

This is really interesting. Is there a place we can find out more? Have you posted any content about it? If not, please share more about this todd individual.
These people may believe that they will always have the upper hand. But that hand is already slipping.

I bet everyone of them voted the Wall though. If they are so poor they could use the money in many ways that would benefit themselves. Having visited there just a couple weeks ago I think the farm could be placed inconspicuously and not harm the historical area at all. I think this falls into the category of ignorance more than anything.
And for the religious of which there are always more than a few in places like Jacumba, God helps those who help themselves.
I should mention that you shouldn't put all your hopes in the hands of the owners of the Hot Springs Restaurant. They have a long way to go before becoming oasis they profess. The food is very expensive and the service needs a great deal of polish. My Caesar salad was supposed to be my lunch but was the portion of a side dish; all for $25. I had hoped to make it my lunch as it was 101F but 8 leaves of Romaine lettuce a lunch do not make.

Fair enough about the restaurant, but it is not unwise for these people of a small town to not want this wind farm there.
After all, do the wealthy areas clamor to have these installed in their backyards?
Nice try. Are you a Wall Street frat bro Bank star? Focus on getting that brand lasered off your upper arm, don't come around here and try to convince people of stupid ideas.
That advice was free. You're welcome. :-)
