I think i played this server before in its infancy, at least i remember logging into a server with my hands bound and a rucksack on my head. I dont remember 187 gas zone though
Best server on Xbox at the moment new fresh twist to DayZ instead of all the old cliche hard-core servers And nice job on the video editing and voice over was nice crisp looks professional 👌🏻 👍🏻
“My first time playing 1pp… I can see its appeal”. lol, console players are funny. You can see the appeal of 1pp?! Sometimes in real life I forget I can go 1pp, I’m always walking around in 3rd person
I have a very challenging hardcore server if your interested. True hardcore survival no rules No pve just pure survival pvp kos ect with a twist. You die it's 24hr death penalty
Im still pretty new to dayz, playing on playstation. My first 20 hours i didnt even fire a gun, i had no clue abt mags, bullets, etc, and simple stuff like making a fire, cooking, changing clothes, took 5 or more tries b4 I'd manage a task. In 20 hours, all i learned was all the many ways you can die. I thought I'd never leave the coast or survive long enough to learn to shoot. Then i discovered community PVE servers & figured I'd at least get the chance to live long enough to learn the mechanics. But the first comm pve server i tried out had gas zombies!? They didn't go bang, like in this vid, they just silently released gas, which i didn't even notice! I didnt even know gas zombies was a thing!! And went through 5 lives with no clue how i was getting cuts & sick and dying lol. Dayz (especially on console) is a hard game to learn, but well worth the effort. And a good server makes or breaks it for you
Community servers are great for getting you to try new things once you get the basics down. I'd never driven a car until my friend started his own server, now I'm pretty good at it! Keep plugging away at it... you'll do great!
@@OG_Wakanobi same here, my first drive/car was on PVE. I've still not even managed to find & repair a car on official PVP, never mind drive it away. And if not for pve, I'd never have learned how to repair/drive a car! (Manual... gears... REALLY!!?! lol)
@@OG_Wakanobi same with base building, I can't imagine having lived long enough to find everything needed to build a simple gate, or having the space to carry it all, on official pvp servers. PVE servers were only ever supposed to be a stepping stone, in preperation for surviving on official pvp. But I found out that I really enjoy the pve/survival aspect, and I only play PVP maybe 1 in 5 times that I load the game.
We also have gas zombies! haha! They have a 5% chance to release POX and are found deep in the forests of our map. Community servers can be incredible if they're ran by the right people etc.

And when I eventually spotted the gas, I thought the owner of the server was doing it, messing with me for content or just for fun (I was watching lots of dayz vids on RUclips back then lol) And It was the first community server where I spawned with a gun & map, and I desperately wanted to play on it, eventually asking Google why gas randomly spawned lol, and so found out about gas zombies. I actually found the video of my first hour on the server, and (as well as being absolutely useless lol) it showed that the gas was clearly visible, it was hard to believe that I hadn't seen it. but as that brand noob player, all my concentration was on not dying in that 1 v 1 fight, and then getting to safety to either heal, or plan my next move. I was blatantly unaware of my surroundings. I wonder how many people watch a dayz video, see how amazing the game can be, and rush out & buy it, only to spend 10 hours struggling to achieve even the basics, and just give up.
I’ll definitely check this server out I feel like it would be a hell of a lot cooler if u got rid of the mushrooms and made it so u don’t have to wear the hole nbc suit just the gas mask or make it so u spawn with the green nbc suit obviously it’s just my personal preference but just think it would increase the overall realism and quality to the servers players
Hey! - Saw your comment and wanted to reply :) The Mushrooms add to the lore of the server, they were the 'things' that spread the poisonous gas across the map. They grow in certain POIs like our Zoo and adds to the creepy atmosphere. We can't change it so you just need a mask unfortunately, believe me, I'd love people to be wearing t-shirts, jeans with a gas mask but you need the full kit. So you spawn with the yellow one because you stand out more. We do however have the grey NBC suit but you can only find this inside the zoo! - Means that if you see someone in a grey suit they've played the server for a while and survived longer in the gas :D

We don't have hands bound on the server it's just a burlap sack

I found the grey mask once, but it was badly damaged...I shoulda kept it!
