SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom Bowling is a SpongeBob SquarePants arcade ticket redemption game developed by Play Mechanix and manufactured by the Chicago Gaming Company. It was released in 2007 exclusively in arcades. This is one of the rarest SpongeBob Arcade games, as Chicago Gaming only manufactured 200 cabinets. On the side of the cabinet, Sandy has a unique design that features red and blue stripes on her arms, exposed legs with blue shorts, and a red stripe on her boots.SpongeBob also has several different bowling outfits seen on various parts of the cabinet.
Insane that this was considered lost for a while. You would think since it's SpongeBob, more people would be aware of it, but since it appears to be rigged, i can see why barely anyone actually genuinely likes this lol. I dont recall this at my Chuck E Cheese from back in the day, but maybe that was for the best
Much of it has to do with hardware, lots of the later arcade games run off PCs instead of proprietary hardware like a Jamma board, so even dumping them to run properly is a pain in the ass.
No wonder this game was not popular in arcades. It’s a rigged ticket game with ugly character smiling designs. If gets worse if an arcade is going to charge at least $1 per play. I guess it takes some amount of skill to get all three strikes.
I played this game before at Chuck E. Cheese's when I was a kid as well.
1:28 Spongebob on crack
Memories of playing this at Chuck E. Cheese's when I was little!
