actually, on the album, there's all kinds of shit programmed on top of each other during that part, which would pretty much be a gravity-blast irl. but live, i think its just a roll on the snare. doesn't really matter if you play it as single strokes or doubles, imo :)
well, the first album didn't have a real drummer at all. but for the music videos for reality and forever, there is a dude drumming yeah. that's a roll too! triplets to be exact. that's dave gray or gary thomas, i don't remember. these days they have todd hansen, and he does a lot of gravity blasting over the old songs.

@HowRude666 Yeah I had the same problem when I got too used to my e kit then got back on the acoustic. I think it has to do with the e kit having rubber pads making them easier to strike and also it takes more force to hit a real cymbal then an e cymbal
i've yet to be convinced by gary's playing. in the making of dissimulate video, his setup and playing looks really awkward and he blatantly falls behind in several places, which was fixed later on in production. and isn't dave gray the drummer on their dvd tour?
