Wonderful analysis Ben! After 10 years we'll finally (hopefully) have a conclusion to the final question! I'm looking forward to the QoL changes they will bring to this edition! ❤
@@daeronsingollo4131 Thanks! The QOL stuff should be really nice. Anything to make my repeat playthroughs even smoother and help new players stick with the game. As for the expansion, I'm not 100% convinced it'll have enough time to answer absolutely everything, but definitely looking forward to getting some of these mysteries answered.
@@benineight4750 I really hope the finding friends characters and select them will be easier, with a friend menu for example. Having to remember everyone's levels, subweapons and classes was quite tricky to remember.
@@daeronsingollo4131 yeah I agree, that's one of the big ui changes the game really needs. I hope we get the bonus exp system for the other party members too, to keep them caught up in levels.
@@benineight4750 that I didn't particularly mind, as it'd be weird to have a first heart to heart with a character when they are immediately level 59... 😂
@@daeronsingollo4131 yeah I suppose 😅 I just always found it a bit annoying having to have Cross carry the party or sub in Elma and Lin for a hard fight when I'm trying to raise someone else's affinity. Would be nice for everyone to properly keep pace without grinding and causing Cross to be overlevelled.
Nice analysis! The color difference is pretty striking, I remember X looking a bit washed out when I played it, this game's gonna look absolutely gorgeous on the Switch (and possibly even better on the next console if it offers improvements in backwards compatibility). And yeah, for the new story content I'm keeping my expectations in check. It's a remaster of a game that's already HUGE with content, and if it's anything like the treatment that Xenoblade 1 got, it's mostly gonna serve as a setup to the next game, with possibly more sidequests added and some character exploration. The question is how it's gonna be implemented though. Since it has an actual post-game compared to other Xenoblades, will it just be added to the post-game or are they gonna make it a separate scenario for the people who already played the original?
@@gmaster2647 Thanks! Yeah the game looks gorgeous on Switch and I hope it gets a boost on the next one. I'm definitely excited for the new story, but like you said, gotta keep expectations in check like you said. I'd love a proper sequel so I'd be happy with it being more setup stuff. As someone whose played X a million times and wants to get through it nice and slowly again and not rush it, I hope the new story is seperate, but like you said X has an actual postgame and its shooting for offline mmo vibes so could frame it like an mmo expansion added to the end.
I'm sure the Quality of life upgrade will be great but all I really want is a more organized quest board having them all in one bunch is a scrolling nightmare. The rest was already a masterpiece and ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING THEY ADD WILL BE HEAVEN FOR ME . Btw I appreciate you giving the names of each area and zones which are seldom said 🤜🏻🤛🏻
@@xenoblade6965 yeah the whole ui could use an update to make things more organised. Thanks, I mainly wanted to flex my knowledge of the map but glad you appreciated it 😅
Doesn't matter if it's a cutscene shot or not as it uses the same models. Even your gair translates into cutscenes. Also notice that the Wii U uses limited RGB so you need to set your television to the same. Think the colors are quite vibrant on the Wii U as well if setup correctly. But sure Full-RGB support will make it look even better.
@@ChrisMS0815 for me, its a similar situation to Metroid Prime and its remaster. I've always thought it looked great but now a much better version exists its hard to look back
@benineight4750 I agree and Prime did look great back on Gamecube. After playing the Xenoblade trilogy on Switch and then trying to go back to Xenoblade X I just started to dislike the color pallette.

There's something about this planet, and we're about to find out what!

This confirms for me that they are already planning for xenoblade chronicles x 2 for the switch 2
@@CrouchingscarabflyingJ I really hope so. Been wanting a sequel for years. And X deserves its chance for one now the main trilogy is done.

I had an issue with the original games color pallette, it just looked dull. I'm loving the new look of the game

Elma looks much better in the original but you saying otherwise means you need to get yourself down the Specsavers and get a new pair of glasses!
