Stunning Annie. We know them as Eagle Owls here in the UK. Really outstanding as always.🦉🦉🦉🦉🦉😍😍😎😎 Oh, and the back ground colour looks just like Buff Titanium. My go to colour for any wildlife paintings 😃😃
Absolutely love this. I love painting the eyes first as to me it helps to create the rest of the character. It’s like they keep an eye on your progress 😂 Thank you for sharing ❤
Hey Joanne! YES! you said it perfectly! Not 'standard practice' but, boy do I feel better when I know the eyes will be OK 😂 Thanks for stopping by and brightening my Day! ART HUGS!
I love your videos. You are so clear and provide useful info. I am an abstract painter but I strive to expand into more realism. I am glad I found your channel.
For someone to picture this in their head and have it come out looking like it could fly off the canvas, it truly has to be a gift from God. May God bless you in the almighty name of Yeshua ha'Moshiach amen ❤
Sure Kate! I print out the photo to scale, scribble on the back with chalk pastel. Tape it to my canvas & trace it with a ballpoint pen. Happy Painting! 👋❤️
@@alishaevers7378 Short answer is no. I need to make sure I own or use CC0 photo references since I license my art on products to manufacturers (garden flags, greeting cards etc). THANK YOU though!!!! ❤
So you enlarged the photo to use as a traceable? Then colored the back to be able transfer the pencil. I'm so literal....I need exact steps - sorry! Thank you!
Yes, 5:03, I enlarged the photo to the size of my canvas, scribbled on the back with chalk pastel. Taped the photo to my canvas and traced it with a ball point pen. Thanks for asking! 👋😍

love it Anne. The looseness makes it look soft which is enhanced by the neutral colours of both owl and background. Great video thank you.

Great eye Paul! I put a little unbleached titanium white on my palette and mixed a color really close to it for the background. Happy Weekend! 👋❤
