In the Rostov region of southern Russia, Ukrainian drones powerfully attacked a military airfield in Morozovsk (300 km from the front line). Locals reported over 60 explosions, although some were certainly the result of air defense actions.

My grandfathers brother was a Belgian POW in WW2. He was so thankfull beeing liberated from his prison camp in Germany by the Americans and not the Russians. He told me how Russians were like. He did speak a lot about his prison camp but not a lot about the actual fighting to my disapointment as a child that loved heroical warstories. It was to painfull for him I guess. He was not wrong either about the Russians I mean. He past away some 30 years ago. He never overcame his grudgely bias towards Germans but liked Russians even less. He lived through both German occupations. 1 as a child 1 as a grown man. He could have left the prison camp in late1940 because He was Flemish but he did not accept any privaledges from the Germans so He spoke French instead of Dutch and pretended to be a walloon. Stuborn as he was he stayed untill liberated in 1945.His weight was 42 kg then.He was beaten a lot by the guards. Still he disliked the Russians more. That says it all.

Reps priorities have changed from decent ones to the cult mentality. Not all of course but enough to infect the world’s power structure. 9:15 - it looks like a homebuilt airplane because that's exactly what it is - an Aeroprakt A-22 Foxbat. Think of a Cessna 172 (like the one that landed in Red Square in 1987) only smaller and cheaper. The basic version doesn't even have doors. They're even sold here in the US starting at USD $90K, so in Ukraine, they're a LOT cheaper. I think they're saying they can get nearly 3,000KM range out of them too.

I remember old iron curtain. And how it crumbled down. Saw the (on news) Berlin Walls to crumble down. And never thought that I would see the new iron curtain rise... But history repeats and seems that it haven't teached anything on east side of the curtain. Or they have rewritten history totally in a way, that they have no chance to even learn from their fathers mistakes in not so far history...
Luckily us in Finland learned and didn't forget what happened. And we have been ready for this, even european countries looked us weirdly when they started to live in, kind of, false security and safety, and we just kept our military ready...

Totally agree, but at the same time we have to be aware that the USA triggered this conflict due to American interests in controlling Ukraine and having military bases there. And now that the conflict is on fire, the USA retreat and doesn't even want to send troops... because they are awaiting for Russia and Europe to destroy each other. Russia is 100% to blame about the invasion, and they should pay for this, but this whole thing is a game done by the USA.

Even if they make new factories with in Ukraine it will be imposible to maintain those factories. Ukraine does not have enough skilled workesrs to work in those factories and any thing of any larger scale will be hammerd by Russians. I is impossible for Ukraine to crate any sort of pockets where air defense could defend these factories. If EU decsides to send there own personel and equipment it's gonna get destroyed. And sending NATO troops directly to Ukraine just will only result in further escalations and potential direct war between NATO and Russia.EU does not have enough of air defense to protect these soilders if they send them. With what weapons will they fight Russia, many Europena armys in aid to Ukraine hurt there own caipabilities becuase they sent equipment that they were using. Then ammunition for this army Russia outproduces entire NATO by 7 times in almost all ammunition. Then all the necessary logistics that would need to be implemented which would also result in big problem becuase it would need to go all the way from Poland to frontline which is about 2000km away. And already bad roads and railways that would get hammered by Russia only further. There is no possibilities for NATO to save Ukraine.

If they were liberal democracies, they would not need to escape. It would be much easier to stem the flow of people if we quit facilitating the manufacturing of rubble using explosives.
It would be nice to use all that money that has been earmarked for military aid in the Middle East to be used to reduce poverty which always reduces crime. However, the problem lies in the fact that America and Russia need their military-industrial complexes which are a major part of their economies to keep their production line rolling. World peace is not a very profitable proposition for some folks. They need you bent out of shape seething in your own selfish pride, spiteful envy, and vengeful wrath to make this all possible!

My great grandfather was a polish man from Vilna, Poland, a town that doesn't exist anymore (may have become Vilnius, Lithuania, but information is not available or clear). He was pulled from his house late one winter night by the Soviets and shot dead while his wife and children fled into the darkness, leaving everything behind, never to return again. I will never trust anything a Russian says.

      @@Seiaeka That isn't a simple question.
Pre-WW2 a lot of central an eastern European countries were very multi-ethnic (Probably because they had been part of multi-ethnic empires). Poland, for instance, had large numbers of Germans, Lithuanians, Belorussians, Ukrainians, as well as Pole (obviously). There were also religious based distinctions - Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, Jewish, even Muslims. Post WW2 the borders of a lot of these countries were changed and, in some cases, 'minorities' expelled. So Poland ended up predominately Polish Catholic.
So, your great-grandfather may have been describing himself by his Nationality, but been ethnically something else (most likely Lithuanian, but reasonably likely Belorussian), or by his ethnicity.
I have a Lithuanian surname, but a mixture of ancestry including Polish, Welsh, English, Scottish and probably Irish, which I am interested in. I identify myself as Australian, though :)

It is not that USA is bad ally when it comes down to it, it is just that you have to have political wits to create the agreements well, create some interests USA can't just ignore, no matter how unreliable or whimsical their domestic politics becomes. Also it was really heart warming when UK was the first to offer Finland protection when we applied for NATO, while others were second guessing it so you can be proud of your country, you have at least one European nation that is grateful for you and we are not people to forget such things. From gutter to peak of the riches and back to gutter together as i like to say it.

The UK choose to tie itself to the US to avoid being tied to the EU as a junior partner to France and Germany. Sure. The UK is pretty much a junior partner to the USA.But America isn't asking for the UK to join
      the USA.
