Question. What happened in the immigration? Did they ask you to sign something or did they just ask you random questions while they check your passport?
you forgot to mention the police officer who asks "why are you in here" xD happened to me this summer, after i picked up my bag and left the luggage area i was about to pass the last police guards and then got asked, didnt expect to explain my stay
Very helpful, I’ll be there next month but I’ve got no ideas what to do since I rarely travel by plane. So I wonder if Tokyo station and Narita Airport is connected?
Tokyo was your final destination but if you arrive to NRT and you have a connecting flight to OKA do you have to collect your luggage before proceeding to your connecting?
Actually that will be best informed by airlines.. if you are travelling by same airline on International and connecting then usually airlines will handle luggage.. But if you are taking different airline for connecting then most likely you will have to clear immigration, customs and move to domestic terminal and checkin again for OKA
There is visa free entry for american passport holders in japan upon arrival. You will have to go through passport control, retrieve your baggage and then transfer to haneda. Hopefully you have sufficient time for transit.
Yes you will get a stamp to enter japan. And i suggest you can even visit Tokyo(metro-subway in japan is one of the best in the world) and there are baggage deposit facilities at haneda. (Haneda to Narita is like 45 mins by train and 1 hour by road)
Travel with Khan we are also planning to have a trip around tokyo. The farthest north we would go is the Tokyo Skytree and farthest south is Yokohama and farthest east is Narita. I heard there are different companies for the subway, which do you recommend I should purchase: IC, Prismo, or is there another card that is better?
Was it easy for u to get a visa to visit Japan or was it a very complicated.
if all documents are in-line, then i guess japan is one of the easiest countries to get visa...
but getting documents arranged is a hassle :P
Ahh yes! I remember going through this same journey like it was yesterday.
it is extremely easy to get into jp, its just all of the docs. thats hard.
it is also very cheap to renew your visa.

Do you go through any other body scanner or X-ray scanner type things, besides the temperature scan?
you forgot to mention the police officer who asks "why are you in here" xD

what did he ask you exactly and what language did he use? also do you need to give details??
how long exactly the process take you until you go to the train station? an hour? 2 hours?
How do you communicate with the immigration officers if most of the Japanese don't speak English at all?
there is not much need of communication at immigration... if they have to then there are people who speak english.
Thank you
After getting visa is it easy to get entry into japan @ airport ?? What type of questions do they as to a visitor specially from Pakistan ??

Do you need to go through immigration if you're on an international layover?
what to do in customs after claiming your luggage?
Very helpful, I’ll be there next month but I’ve got no ideas what to do since I rarely travel by plane. So I wonder if Tokyo station and Narita Airport is connected?
From narita take NEX train(train station is in basement of airport) it will take you to tokyo :)
How many countries you visited before Japan?
