    My dad bought a Gen 3 19 back in 2001 kept it stock and carried it everyday until his death in 2016. I inherited it, added night sights and stippled the frame and have carried it everyday since then. My favorite gun by far not only for its sentimental value, but honestly it’s just a simply made, no nonsense pistol that goes bang every time

    I have several glock pistols in my collection. But one of my favorite ones is my glock 41. It's a long side 45, I carried 1911s for years, still do sometimes. That 41 is a flat out shooting dream. Totally agree on the glock 20. I carry that one when I'm hunting, or hiking, or camping. 15+1 of 10mm can more than handle anything I will run into on two legs, or four.

    We’ll maybe the Glock doesn’t have a reason to be innovative, look at the 1911 it’s been a great gun for over a hundred years, and besides if you look at what guns people think are better than Glocks , they are usually Glock clones with a few upgrades

    • @ronolson2024
      @ronolson2024 2 года назад +6

      Do you realize that different gun companies looked at the 1911 and made changes to make it much better than the original? Better trigger, better sights, better machining & parts, bluing, & the list goes on. Just like other companies are making polymer guns better than the Glock pistol. If you can't or won't make your product better, than others will. Glock is no exception. 1 trick ponies only last for a limited time.

    To touch on this , after extensive research I’ve found a generation 4 Glock frame is thee best frame to own if you’re wanting to run multiple generation slides on one frame. Seems a gen4 frame allows Gen 5 slides and Gen 3 slides with an adaptor for the guide rod (strike Industires) to fit flush in the tang of the Gen 4 due to a small spacing on frame to Gen 3 slide. So conclusion if you’re wanting to run multiple slides on one decked out frame it’s a Gen 4

And before any purist jumps on me I don’t care what I have to do to a gun out of the box to make it what I need. I trust the Glock name and it’s a given that any Glock is a base model that can have upgrades (even though it doesn’t NEED them).

    My favorite Glocks are ...G48/43x , G19, G26, and G45 ....I've owned a few Glocks in my past that I'm currently replacing. I've gifted my G48 to my Son and I've set him up for success in his pistol journey

      Honestly number 1 should be the Glock 18 since it's about the same as the Glock 17 except it has the ability to shoot full auto, but also can still shoot semi auto.

    So, I'm a skinny guy. I would love to carry everyday. I just feel like I couldn't everyday carry, especially in warmer weather. The gun print through my clothes is just too much for me to be comfortable in public with it. I'm just fine in jackets, or sweatshirts. Any recommendations? Love the channel! Thanks for all the fun videos!

    Companies like Sig and Smith have invested a lot in offering better "out-of-the-box" choices than Glock, but though it's great to have choices, they've also kind of fueled the pretentious gun geeks who now look down on you for not keeping up with the pew-pew Joneses and buying all 10,000 variants of the 365. Glock is just like, "Cool -- you can bet your life on our guns going bang and not breaking the bank." Love my G19. Everyone should own one along with a well-made 1911. Both will still be in production long after Sig makes their one-millionth variant of whatever is the new sexy fifty years from now.

      @@executioniseverything2991 I was thinking that too lol. I carry a 365xl. I do love glocks, but you can’t bash on a company that’s pumping out good if not better stuff than a traditional Glock.

    I can’t believe the G29 is barely mentioned. The G20 is a big full size OWB carry but if you want 10mm for edc, the 13+1 G29 is perfect.
    In summertime, I never leave home w/out my G23 Gen4. Great balance of firepower and control.

    The G20 is fine if you're shooting limp 10mm, but if you're trying to take down a bear - get a G40 and use hot loads. Barnes Extreme Defender is a good one.
    If you're not trying to CCW 10mm, I'd always recommend the G40 and avoiding the weaker 10mm any way.
