I’m the pie guy at home. That pie was great. I have son with egg and peanut allergies so I have to make mine without eggs. It’s still good without the egg.

No problem. By using the hand held mixer. The beaters work like an extractor. After u get the threads out, rinse the beaters off and use it to blend all of the ingredients together.🤗
I don't have any beaters to mix up everything like you're using - would it be difficult to mix everything up by hand? I don't want to buy beaters just to make this recipe.

U can, but use minimal water, if not it will be watery.

With the pie crust you can add a small can of condensed milk if you have time, re knead its a game changer.
