As a mother of an (almost adult) son who is Autistic....this just touches my heart deeply. I'm so thankful that there are programs out there that will assist with adults with disabilities.
Absolutely love this. In NY, we have CTE (career and tech ed) programs for students with disabilities in either food service or power tools/outdoor maintenance/mechanical where they go to a half day program (the other half of the day they're in special ed classes) and learn job skills in 11th grade and then have two internships in 12th grade (for example in food service they intern as prep cooks at local cafes or restaurants and mechanical they intern at auto shops) and then they have jobs when they "graduate" high school. It's a fantastic program I wish all places had.

I eat here regularly, and I'm a restaurant snob - 23+ years in the business! The food is incredible. Everything is freshly made in-house daily. The employees are friendly and eager to work. Their customer service attitudes are positive and helpful! It is awesome to see the opportunities Ruth is creating for folks who too often don't get the chance to show their capabilities. If you are ever in McKinney, GO TO HUGS!

Im a disabled woman, wife, and mother. A friend led me to woman who only hires disabled people for her cafe..... I wasn't hired #not my first rodeo 😂
