    I have been using an iPhone for years and years, but now I use an iPad mini 4 for ProCreate art, and I’m about to get a MacBook Pro so I can start using Final Cut Pro among other things. I love how seamlessly I can move things around between just my iPad and my iPhone, so I can’t imagine all the things I’ll be able to do with a MacBook too. Thanks for this video!

    I have a M2 Macbook Pro, and a Samsung S22 Ultra, and am debating whether I want to switch over to an iPhone or not. The ecosystem looks really nice, but there are so many things my android can do that iPhones simply cannot. So the question becomes, is the decrease in device personalization from an iPhone worth the benefits of the ecosystem. I still haven't made up my mind yet.

      Are you referring to home screen layout? Do you spend more time in the apps or more time making your home screen pretty?

    • @drchtct
      @drchtct Год назад +1

      I got an iPad mini last year as a tablet next to my Samsung phone and it is a bit mindboggling how limited the settings app is. That being said, most things just work. The homescreen is pretty great imo, the widgets are fantastic. I don't know if I'd miss more things if it was my phone and not my tablet, but realistically, I'm not sure what I'd miss out on.

    • @mileskenyon
      @mileskenyon Год назад

      There's more to it than that lmao. Even the customisation is worth it alone, you can change any aspect of the phone, keyboard/lockscreen/app switcher etc. Sideloading any ap you want, including modde RUclips apks. Simple features that make Android objectively better in that regard. @@JerrySchulze

    I've been using MacBook for 8 yrs now, probably never switching to windows again. My work laptop is with windows, but I rarely use it. On the other hand, iPhone is missing so many useful things that makes the experience simply bad. I still use an iPhone as my second phone, but my Google Pixel does the job so much better, gives me more options and it is very easy to use and adapt for your needs. After testing Google, Apple and Amazon, I switched to Amazon smart home system some 4 years ago and I am happy with it. All together, it would be nice to have it all in the same ecosystem like apple,'s but for my needs the experience was not the best.

      Android/Windows does already have most of this with Link to Windows on Android and Phone Link on Windows. Works best on Galaxy phones as everything is already part of both OS's. Many of the same features: photo syncing, clipboard sharing, link sharing, phone calls, notifications, file transfers, messaging, Android screen/app mirroring. Galaxy tablets even have a feature called Second Screen, which lets you use the tablet screen as a second display for Windows using the built in cast function. Then there's even Dex.

    Airpods connecting to multiple devices is a feature I love and hate.
    It’s so cool to have but at the same time, often I’ll be watching a video on my macbook while scrolling socials on my phone and then a notification sound or just the typing sounds will move the airpods to the iPhone which leads to me just turning off bluetooth on my iPhone whenever I’m watching something on my mac

    I think that should be seen a little more critically. The walled garden also has a number of disadvantages. The features are of course nice and help noobs to use their devices efficiently, but whether you should give up your freedom remains unanswered. Some features, such as forwarding SMS and other messages from the smartphone to the Mac or iPad, are even dangerous because they undermine the security of multi-factor authentication.

    • @JerrySchulze

      Absolutely there are criticisms against the ecosystem and maybe that will be a separate video. Thanks for watching!

    • @knofi7052
      @knofi7052 3 года назад +4

      @@Ilkello99 Sorry, but it seems you didn't understand the reason behind multi-factor authentication. The only essential thing about this method is that the authentication is confirmed by completely independent devices.

    • @Ilkello99
      @Ilkello99 3 года назад

      @@knofi7052 I think I know my way around an Apple device. Seems like disabling multi forwarding on multiple devices isn’t that common for you. Anyways, just stating that someone doesn’t understand a thing without stating the reason as for why makes your statement useless

    • @knofi7052
      @knofi7052 3 года назад +2

      @@Ilkello99 I said this feature might be nice but dangerous. And you wrote that in some cases messages can be seen by others, what has nothing to do with it. Therefore I had to conclude that you have no idea about multi-factor authentication. It's that simple. And the feature is still dangerous even if you know how to switch it off.

    While I agree that apple has a very attractive and fairly useful OS the security of it is very much lacking because of how apple works. The software looks pretty (TICK) but the security of forwarding transitions is staggeringly dangerous. Samsung Knox is far far superior to this but in reality for most people they would not understand and just want the pretty click n go - I just wish apple were more honest about their lack of security they truly provide.
