    Mark, This is Jason. Thanks for the great questions. The interview was a lot of fun.
    If anyone is interested in joining the research program, I'm starting a new cohort focused on men. The requiements are be significantly overweight or obese for a long time, have a high level of English, and bring an open mind. There are no diet changes, no dieting, no exercise, no life style changes, no pills or meds, basically none of the things we've tried for the past 50 years that help lose weight but it ALWAYS comes back.
    Why men? The past two cohorts of volunteers were 95% women. I seriously want to help men, but need them to volunteer in the clinical research to do so.
    Mark posted my email address in the description. If I put it here, RUclips will delete the comment.

    This just reminded me of my mother who became widowed at the age of 35 and never remarried. She single handedly raised 4 kids who all graduated from college and are now living good lives. She spent almost half of her life working as a Domestic Helper in HK to properly provide for us. The saddest thing for us is that she passed away at the age of 57 with a brain aneurysm just within two years after retirement. We just felt so bad that she only got to enjoy our love, care and gratitude within a short period of time.

    The institutional racism in the United States on many subjects is catching up with us, and it's making life here miserable, lies, and deception that has been taught. We're so wrong. People need to bring their self out of ignorance.

      Maybe there's a natural thing, which most people strangely don't understand, called tribalism. It has been natural and desirable for the survival of distinct peoples throughout history.
      The media institutional terror thing is not real.
      If there is any truth about it, it's that so-called minorities have opportunities which others do not, such as set hiring quotas, but there isn't some menace set against them.

    • @ottowokeninger9617
      @ottowokeninger9617 Год назад

      @@youngandfree93 That's what Filipinos accept there though- go there poor, accept some of the lowest wages, and exist mostly as a separate underclass.
      The way they are treated is a natural tribalism, and they choose to be among other tribes.
      People don't often view things objectively anymore. It's all about media-manipulated emotions.

    you guys should listen to the philippine news these days ,so you'll know what's going on in negros oriental & in dumaguete city & nearby towns .... if you can't understand it since mostly it's in tagalog then let your girlfriends or wives translate it for you ........ I've never seen this in the philippines before,this bad & it's even hard to believe it did happened in the province of negros oriental cuz i really thought this island is peaceful as the word "peaceful" ..... but dang,i was wrong ..... this island is like a killing fields with all the unsolved crimes that they've just discovered now ......

    What a great interview Mark and Jason. I found Jason to be a very interesting man who has found his niche in life. I'm almost 83yo and i married the love of my life from Cebu 27 years ago. I wish i had met her many years ago before that. My biggest mistake when i was a soldier, was leaving the service when my contract was up. I liked the Army and i was good at what i was taught by instructors as an infantry soldier. I found it difficult to adapt to civilian employment and became a Highway Cop where i served for several years, but i always missed the Army. I think my ex, bad mouthed me to my kids because my late eldest son emailed me a very hurtful message, i had no idea he felt like that about me.He passed in 2021. I still have that email years later. As MacArthur said, 'I will return", and in the near future i hope to run into Jason and you Mark, tho i'll be at Cebu. Bob Veteran. NZ.

      You touched on a subject that eats at me daily - that is the loss of my children. I'd own my failure as a parent and be able to move on if I could see them and apologize for my misgivings. The thing is, they have disowned me for the past 20+ years and I don't know why. I'm sure that their stepfather had a big part of that ( involved with my childhood sweetheart / wife) while we were still married. I miss my girls terribly.

    I don't understand how a woman say "what are you gonna buy me" and "i am a feminist" within the same breath.
    It doesn't make any sense, assuming feminism is about equality of gender. Then why should she expect him to buy her anything?
